First of all, I'm Portuguese, a country within UE and, what to be called, an ocidental. I have to very much agree with SimFox. People are forgetting that this is not a war, in the real mean, this is a war of politics. What is at stake here, is not the territories of South Ossetia or Abkasia. Neither Russia nor Georgia or US or UE are interested in the land within those territories. It has no value what so ever. The problem here, is a political one. It's about alliances, it's about votes on UN, it's about influence. Did you see what were the partners of the big coalition that went into Iraq? We are talking about Poland (the same country that is now being pressured inside UE because it had military instalations to torture guantanamo prisioners), Bulgary, Georgia, England (a logic one), Romenia, etc... So we are talking about countries that use to be in Russia influence and are trying to became US friends to enter NATO and to receive US troops within their land as protection. These same countries are now the to be bases for the US missile shield. Logically Russia don't want to loose influence, more, they are against the missile shield on their borders. Now they are showing to those same countries and US that they can do to them exactely the same US can do to some countries who opose them, either Iraq, Serbia, Afganistan, etc... And this is not only US and Russia, these smaler countries are also figthing for their smaller piece in even smaller countries. And don't forget China, who is expanding it's influence in regions where US are not interested yet, like African countries and some South American ones. Other emergent economies, like Brazil, Venezuela and India are trying to expnad their influence either. Venezula just signed a pact with Portugal and Spain for the oil. Brazil and Angola are doing the same either. And agriculture will be the next oil... So, in retrospective, we are following exactely the same policy we did in the late 1800's, and it tragically ended with the first world war... and then the second...

I've not participated here for a while, mostly sinde The 7 Trumpets left... I don't really like dependencies either. But I don't like to get up early in the morning and go to work every single day! But that's the way life is! Get used to it. If I share something I made, I share it the way I want. If you like it, very good. If you don't like it, very good anyway, as long as you don't mistreat me for it. Anyway I do think that batters, modders and lotters should try to organize and keep a list of dependencies actualized and simple. But would also like to have 100 days of vacations per year, and I wont get it... Just my two cents!

It happened to me something like that a while ago. I realized that it was from the best settings of the NAM. Try to bring back the default values on the NAM and I think your sims will start using your rail more properly. This may sound awkward, but it worked for me.

I'm sorry, but with the change from simtropolis site i can't find the NAM download file. I have a previous one but i want the last one and can't find it. Can someone help me?

This is going to be a bit long, but i think it's worth. One of the things that people care most about simcity4 is reality, so i think a sim mars without reality would be condemned to failure. As i'm an engineer i know some things about physics, things that applyies in earth as in mars. 1 - Transportation: this is one of the most important features in simcity4 so is one of the most important things that really has to have reality. so i've heard about fastest roads and streets, but people forgets that as long as there is less gravity on mars, there is also less traction and so it's dificult to acelerate. Even more dificult would be to stop when hiting the brakes. So i think that streets should be made of dirt, but with normal costs as soil in mars is very rocky and had to be clean. this streets should have very slow speeds (even slower than earth streets) and would run normaly (without any tubes). Roads would also have slower speeds but higher cost due to tubes. Avenues could be inside tubes and have normal speeds but higher cost due to being made of magnetic iron witch could atract cars to the soil making them stable. Mag-lev trains would be the principal transportation feature in mars. People would go to work every thay in mass transit and only rich people would have cars and only to recreation. Normal trains would go in tubes and only for freigth pourposes. 2 - Industry: Agricultural plays here one of the most important roles. Hidrophonics could provide food to the population and work kind of earth. Dirty industry would be most mining stuf. But polution can't be smoke, as there is no atmosfere in mars, so it could be in garbage only. High tec would be normal like on earth. 3 - Residence: Never forget that people have to be provided air as much as power and water. lots of posters wanted to change power into air. I think it have to be added, it can't be substitued. 4 - Commerce: This is a major problem. In simcity4 comerce growths due to traffic volume. But if we are going to avoid leaving our homes in cars, i think something has to be changed. 5 - Services: Schools, hospitals, police, fire services, and all have to be present as on earth. People are people and the needs remain. Like on earth power has to be provided in very the same way. But a new thing would be air. As my opinion air should be provided like power, and a building canot growth without it. As for power sorces, one things has be kept in mind, as there is no atmosfere in mars that canot be burners, no coal, no oil, etc. As there is no air there is no wind also. But what could be arranged is that a coal or oil power sorce should be provided with air in order to burn. This is getting long and the ideas keep flowing, but here stays my contribution.

Stop hiting your head against the wall. You won't fix anything by continuing to play! First the most apropried thing to do is to format your drives and reinstall everything. If you don't don't want to do that, try to get a spyware remover, like adware or something, and, after uninstalling simcity, run it. You will be amazed by the stuf you will encounter on your computer that you din't know you had. Don't quarentine nothing, delete everything. Then reinstall simcity and rush hour. I thing this should be enouth.

Toroca, I really think any mod that bring more realism to game is allways welcome. Even if no more people is interested in posting here, i think a lot of people will be interested in downloading this mod. Keep on the good work and I will espect to see this mod.
