^^^ i used to think exactly that (just cuz the ussr collapsed they are now nice guys) but now ive begun to realise that i couldnt be any more wrong. every time i watch the news and theres a story from russia, its always about some major demonstraton of government brutality. i used to think that now that they are a member of nato, russia is developing into a free, western country. i was so wrong, what they are doing is horrible.

i wasnt only talking to you shm0 i said "people" (i should have also emphasised on palpatine) you can spend hours proving someone wrong, then they will just spend a few hours on a counter argument, nobody comes out on top its just a waste of time, the problem with the global warming debate is that nobodys facts have been proven right, your not gonna change anyones mind by restating the same arguments that we've all heard hundreds of times before

finally nasa makes a discovery, now they can keep on wasting money exploring new planets that we will probably never see or even hear about again but then again im canadian so this doesnt concern me, my hard earned taxpayer dollars go to things much more productive such as homeless people who need extra cash to pay for their heroin addiction, and to programs that make sure that the french language is printed on my cereal boxes so that an unhappy minority living 5000 kilometers away won't separate i live in vancouver and the 5000 km figure is a rough guess so w/e

one question to ultra gir xl do u drive a hybrid car, does all of your home's energy and heating come from a zero emission source have never been in an airplane, ridden in a bus, or eaten beef (from methane producing cows of course) theres probably a lot more i could put onto this but i gtg

i dont think human actions could make global warming bad enough to kill us all, i dont think i can believe anybody anymore there is so much bias on this, the other day i was cleaning out my basement and found a national geographic magazine from 1976 and one of the articles mentioned on the cover said "what's happening to our climate" i immediatley assumed it had something to do with global warming, so i flipped to the article and began to read it, i was shocked to find out that it was about a disturbing new trend in the earths temperature- cooling, it talked about rapid warming in the prewar period and more recently up until time of publishing (1976) rapid cooling, there was even a quotation of the national science board, from 1974 "during the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade." the article did mention the theory that rising amounts of greenhouse gases can lead to the warming of the global temperature, which wouldnt make much sense back then, but what surprised me the most was that 30 years ago people were saying the exact opposite of what we are saying now, i say dont worry about it, i wouldnt mind using greener energy sources, etc, but global warming isnt that much of a big deal, i wouldnt be surpised if in a few decades the temerature will go down again. someone please explain to me how 800 years ago, with no suvs or aresol cans in sight, the vikings had dairy farms on greenland! ps. i took that last one from an editorial letter in the globe and mail or national post sometime around christmas ( i dont know but i still remember that sentence)

we will never know the truth about global warming, polluting energy companies and industrialists will obviously have a different point of view, than money hungry green foundations (ie. sierra club), money hungry scientists, and mindless celebrities. exuse spelling/ grammar mistakes

vancouver is nice but way overrated, the natural beauty is unmatched, and the overall look of the city is also great but in terms of taxes, transit, traffic, health care, homelessness, and almost everything else, geneva and zurich are miles ahead.

the best part of vancouver is that there are 3 ski mountains sitting just above the city i live in north vancouver and im only a 10 minutes drive away from grouse mountain which is just amazing on a clear day/night

this whole argument is bull everybody here probably uses the word, if not regularly, it doesnt mean we think gays are inferior or anything like that. here in canada (bc) politically correcty liberal activists have advocated for a special course about the gay community and gay rights etc. to be taught in high school and i believe the plan is going forward. if you think canada isnt nearly as politically correctly obessed as america think again. a canadian fire department is now ONLY hiring new recruits that are either visible minorities or women and discriminating against white males to make the force look more diverse and multicultural but thats a whole different story please excuse any spelling/ grammar mistakes
