You wont have buses, you wont have megastructures, but you will still be able to have a lot of time enjoying the struggle to create beauty. On top of that, sooner or later the community will squeeze out mods and add-ons for free, and for that you will need a game with the latest version and I'm not sure if the game will be as cheap as it is today. MMO's only get cheap when the company is marketing the game, as they are doing now during December. $20 is half the price, its worth it.

What Do You Like Best About Cities XL? - Other (Please State) ------------ I like the MMO part best. As a city builder game CXL just as good as SC4, maybe even slightly better - but I cant tell since SC4 is my first real love so to speak. At the same time, I think CXL as an MMO is way way way way under developed at the moment. Hoping for improvement. And hope is keeping me positive about this the future.

I'm doing an English overview over the different buildings in the game, based on the German sites info. I have trouble tho with gathering proper names of the bonus buildings, like institutes and those with +30% bonus'. Do anyone have an English list of those buildings or have already build some of those, and can post the names to help me out please?

English is my third language and I understood you well. Next time you should try to speak with a french accent, just for fun but it will also slow you speach down which will make it easier to understand for some, maybe. And if you gonna continue to make the vids, you really should get a 2

The solo mode option is just after you login, before the game loads. This to allow people to play single player mode if the connection is screwd.

Mathew, since you are here: The two questions are weird, "WHICH ONLINE ASPECT OF CITIES XL DO YOU LIKE BEST?" & "WHICH ONLINE ASPECT OF CITIES XL DO YOU LIKE LEAST?". I mean, I'd love to if this game would become more strategical with the trading and what not, but at it current form the trade is really a pain.

I compared "simcity" to "cities xl", it doesnt look like sim city is going anywhere. Being so popular, twice as popular as cxl, for so many years even tho the game is more or less "dead", is just amazing. I really hope that CXL will achive this kind of status when the community starts to make all the fancy add-ons and mods. The good thing with CXL is that its an MMO, and those types of games always grow bigger and bigger over time. It will be a success at the end, I have no doubt.

There is to little light on the streets, no? It looks weird. And the backlights on the car should reflect more on the street for greater, more realistic effect. Santa with his crazy car was hilarious, I lmao when I saw him first time. And the street decoration is amazing. Best stuff I ever seen in a game. Only thing I miss is a special building for christmas, something unique to brag about to new players that will join us after December

Actually it does effect the profitability, it sinks down from 1000c to around 650c, sometimes lower, depends on how rough neighborhood you have placed your hotels in and how tight they are together. But at the end, its still good stuff. Its better than offices... lucytash, like you wrote in the first post, and just like morriswalters said, you have to use buildings that gives satisfaction bonus to the neighborhood.
