A small island part of Tuscany in the Tirrenian Sea , made famous by Napoleon since he was exiled here for the first time, after the defeat in Russia. This region is 5x3 big cities wide. Render the JPG with SC4 Terraformer, using the standard elevation value. Thanks for your interest in my map and goodbye! -

Genova/Genoa "la superba" was one of the four historic sea republics of Italy (with Venice, Pisa, Amalfi) and is famous as the Columbus birthplace. It's a leading cultural and commercial city, regional capital of Liguria, with a great seaport. The ancient tower-lighthouse named "Lanterna" is the city symbol, available for download on the STEX at https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=17037 created by Skazz (thanks for this great work!) This region is 6x4 big cities wide. I cleaned the coastline by any human artifact (piers, dams) to have more possibilities in the city development. There are also 2 rivers, the one at your left is named Polcevera, the other Bisagno. Render the JPG with SC4 Terraformer with a scale factor of 1000m. Have fun and thanks for your interest in my maps! Goodbye! -

Hi all I tried to create something that seems this region, using the Shuttle topography data (not very detailed but covering almost the entire world surface). I absolutely ignore the aspect of this land, and the view on Google Earth does not helps so much. This post is nothing more than a preview and i'm sure it's full of errors (expecially concerning rivers)... JPG is optimized for use with SC4 terraformer, with standard parameters. Region is 6x8 big cities wide. I wait for your impressions and suggestions. Goodbye! Taz.zip -

I started this map as a reproduction of Aosta Valley region, in the italian Alps at the border with France. During the terraforming I realized that the plain areas good for cities were too few, and after some modifications this is the result, a playable, broad alpine valley surrounded by high peaks and crossed by the river Dora Baltea with its tributaries. The valley path starts in the west from the Mont-Blanc, the highest mountain in western Europe. I recommend the Columbus Textures Mod to have a realistic snowy look, as shown in the preview. This mod can be found at https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=13804 The region is 9x5 big cities wide, grab the JPG and render it with SC4 Terraformer with a scale factor of 2000m, then do a "lower terrain" of 700 for a correct water level, finally equalize to remove any unwanted roughness. Thanks for your interest in my maps. Good Bye! -

This alpine lake in Italy is an ancient valley created by glaciers during the last ice age and actually submerged by the waters of river Adda. It's a touristic area, full of "villas" owned by rich people. Exactly in the middle, at the "Y" branches confluence is located the town of Bellagio. The region is 5x7 large cities wide. Render the JPG with SC4 terraformer with a scale factor of 1500m. Have fun and thanks for your interest in my map. Goodbye! -

Probably the most famous site of the irish atlantic coast (county of Clare), a sweet hillside suddenly falls down in the ocean for hundreds of meters. This region is 4x3 big cities wide, use SC4 Terraformer and render the JPG with the default elevation value. The geographic north is at the bottom side of the map, so you can have a panorama of the cliffs in the regional view. Have fun and thanks for your interest in my map. -

aka Rapa-Nui, property of Chile thousands of miles far away from its coast in the Pacific Ocean, this small piece of land is incredibly famous. Take a look at https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=13746 for the moai's rock heads landmark that you surely wish to place all around (thanks to zmveliger author of the lots). This region is small (3x2 big cities) but... who needs a huge metropolis in the middle of nowhere? Render the JPG with SC4 terraformer with a scale factor of 1000m for the best result. Thanks for your interest in my map. Goodbye! -

The greatest italian lake, at the edge of Alps. The tributary river is named Sarca, the effluent Mincio. At your left side there is the small alpine lake of Idro, at the right side the river Adige. Around this river,in the plain at the lower-right corner of the map is located the town of Verona (if you like Shakespeare...). This map is 6x6 big cities wide. To obtain the region as displayed in the preview, render the JPG in SC4 Terraformer with a scale factor of 1000m. Thanks for your interest in my map and goodbye! -

This is a map (6x8 big cities wide) of the french island of Corse (Corsica) in the Mediterranean. As usual in my regions, scale and some other details like rivers path and dimension are not accurate because I think that a map should serve the game, and not vice-versa. The surface is hilly, my advice is to render the jpg with SC4 terraformer using the default scale factor. Have fun and thanks for your interest! -

Rising from the Tirrenian Sea in front of Tuscany coast, mount Argentario was an island in the ancient ages. In thousands of years, streams and tides created sand strips (in italian "tomboli") and linked island to the continent, turning it into a promontory with a small lagoon (Laguna di Orbetello). Mount and sand strips are both populated and host towns and pine woods. The region is very close to reality, there is a beautiful coast line, plains and many hills in the background. Build something different than a fisherman's village on the mount could be very difficult... The map is 9x9 cities, grab the JPG and render it with SC4 terraformer using a scale factor of 1000m, otherwise experiment what you like. Thanks for your interest in my maps and goodbye! -

Yet another slice of Italy. Naples bay area offers a wide range of terrains, including volcanoes (first of all the Vesuvius). The coast line changes from beaches to cliffs, and there are mountains that seems literally smashed by quakes.Capri, located at the end of Sorrento's peninsula is the most famous islandin the gulf, a destination for the international jet-set. The mountains elevation is not realistic to leave in evidence the ancient extinct craters. The Volturno river path and size are made by fantasy to have something useful for the game. In reality it's a little river not navigable. People are worried by the risk of a new Vesuvius eruption in the future, so with this map you can experiment disasters and build your own new Pompei. Render the JPG using SC4 Terraformer with a scale factor of 1000m Thanks for your interest in my maps and goodbye!! -

This region is quite difficult to play because of the roughness of terrain, but is also rich of intersting places: the strait of Messina that divide Sicily from Italy, the well-known mount Etna, at present time the biggest active volcano in Europe, dominating the plain of Catany, and the smalls Aeolian islands (the northern one is named Stromboli, another world-famous active volcano). The scale is reduced to keep the region at reasonable size, and the configuration of Etna isn't very accurate (the space model used to create this map is not so detailed to keep trace of every single crater). Furthermore the volcano is still active, so the real situation is changing year after year! To render correctly this map in SC4 Terraformer, set the scale factor to 1500m when importing the JPG. I hope you'll have fun with this region, thanks for your interest and goodbye!!!
