  7. Update#13 Part Two is here. First a reply: Connorc24: Welcome and thanks for the comment. Now the City of Glenrio officials will be take us on a tour of their great city. We now join them in the Glenrio Tours aircraft. The history of Glenrio is most of our founding fathers came from Glenrio Texas and New Mexico along the Old US 66 and moved to here in Iowa to start anew. In the 1930's and 1940's, Glenrio, Iowa only had a population of 20 and farms galore. Now Glenrio has a population of about 25,000 including the small farming community of Maplewood. Now onto the pictures: Farming community of Maplewood. (I forgot to demolish the SAM starter piece). Eastside Interchange. Iowa State Highway 8 and Maplewood Road. Iowa State Patrol and Brown County Sheriff's Department are stationed here. Home Depot Interchange. Iowa State Highway 8 and Tombstone Road. Downtown Interchange. Iowa State Highweay 8 and Main Street. With Glenrio Blvd. next to the park and train Station. Glenrio Power Plant before it moved. The fuzzyness is for security purposes. New location of Glenrio Power Plant at Eastside Interchange on Maplewood Road. A feww hundred feet from the Sheriff's Office and State Patrol. Northside Redevelope Project and Brownsite. Former location of the power plant. Thank you for taking this tour and we will be heading back to the airport in Wayne. Have fun and thank you for visiting Glenrio, Brown County, Iowa USA. JKB
