  1. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Attention Everyone! This will be my final MAINSTREAM update to satisfy requests! This means that from here on, you MUST visit the Blue Hope City Journal Website, register to become a member, login, download the parcels, follow the instructions and fullfill your own requests for developments THE STORYLINE WILL CONTINUE!!! I would like to give everyone a huge thanks and a congratulations as it stands Blue Hope in this current form would have lasted just slightly less than a year. Roughly 10 Months. The new system will ensure the city journal will remain alive and upon my spare time I will see sure to it that the website remains up to date and that memberships are approved... and of course a few extras. BE SURE YOU KEEP WATCH ON THIS THREAD TO SEE THE MOST RECENT UPDATED PARCEL!!! Now to continue with the update! ______________________________________ When we last left off, I was partway through recovering a lost update so I would like to finish that off first... A few new developments push their way into Newark... Near Highway 2 and its underpass with the 101 Turnpike just west of Linaton a group of residential apartments and medium dense homes break into the Hill Side... In the center of Eaton we find a low wealth shopping center biult upon satifying the demand of low end shops. Unfortunately most residents of Eaton are displeased with its position and hope for renovation projects to bring more wealthy commerces, however; the mayor doesn't feel the economy is stable enough to support them yet. Just south of the development is the new 504 Highway... ELSEWERE, Almighty Nienabar would be pleased to see that... FIREWORKS FLY OVER GRETNA'S EXPANSION! The town conviniently located just east of the 101 Turnpike and it's interchange with Highway 2 makes it convinient to move into and out of the city and into the Downtown area or Industrial areas of the mountains! A great location indeed picked by Almighty Nienabar The overview of the new development expansion of low density residential zoning. In its completed form it holds a few low wealth homes to accomidate for the unwealthy class who wants to live in a convinient location. The older portion of Gretna matures quite nicely. THIS IMAGE IS CLICKABLE FOR FULL RESOLUTION Overview of the Gretna area just outside of Newark. Great planning and work Almighty Nienabar, your development will flourish into the new system. keep it up! ________________________________________ Highway 504 Project For some time, the connector of Highway 304 and the South Shore Rail Line between Auringy City and Downtown Newark have suffered extreme congestion. Even service along the rail line did little to nothing towards helping against the traffic.along highway 304 and so until civil engineers could further figure how to upgrade 304 through Auringy City and Eaton, a plan was called to biuld an alternate route which would include a rail line in its median for most of its portion and would bypass the suburban areas via the south while maintaining a relatively high speed limit. The route remains at-grade to cut biuld costs but it still leaves an impression throughout Eaton and Auringy City's southern borders... Lets begin... The next few images are going to be clickable for obvious reasons... The 504 begins at Highway 304 with a ground light rail merging into the center of the highway as it proceeds on the eastern side of Downtown Eaton. Proceeding south and then east. Ground Light Rail stops placed every block through Eaton for convinience. The light rail proceeding west from this point is proposed merge into the South Shore Electric Rail upon the completion into mainland to further service throughout the Newark area. Through the suburban area of Eaton it proceeds east, gaining a bit more room for the grade as the electric rail leaves the downtown area. Higher speed limits may be attained here. As we prepare to leave Eaton, the 504 overpasses a county street. The empty land to the west of the south-east bend is now government property. Here will be biult a stadium, a large park, and the city council services such as the court and city hall aswell as numerous other government related biuldings. I will feature on my next miniature update. (It is already biult.) Leaving Eaton we enter Millidge County. A small industrial enter bids the welcome as the light rail is elevated for another stop. 504 welcomes to railway back into its median without an at-grade crossing as it proceeds eastward toward Auringy City... (East is now left) It proceeds through the country as a divided highway with 55 MPH speed limits. Upon entering Auringy City's southern portion, the limit declines to 45 MPH and the median is decorated with trees... Auringy residents are allowed access to the train via railstops planted along the way.... Close up photo's as we enter Auringy City... The residential development here has been middle to upper wealth as this community offers shelter from crime and the heavy traffic volume that Highway 304 offers through downtown Auringy City... The railway services its last station above ground as it proceeds over the parenting Highway 504 to proceed North into its railway with the South Shore Rail Line - 504 proceeds east... Just after crossing under the railway, Highway 504 is greeted with an interchange with the 101 Turnpike from Tuckaway Transportation. This would be Exit 13 for the Turnpike. 504 Comes to an end with Highway 25 in an industrial sector just east of Highway 304. An proposal offers to extend the highway Northeast into Highway 304 and possibaly further Northeast into Highway 104 as a southern extension of 104 or as International Highway into the Newark International Airport... The raillines proceeding South East at the bottom left corner of this photo is the South Shore Rail Line, this portion currently only offers freight transportation. New railyard for the SSRL and the 504 Light Rail... _________________________________________ I'm forced once again to continue this update tomorrow for timing reasons but rest assure it will be finalized...

  6. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Willg - I'm in process of fullfilling your request but I have a few questions - Do you want 400 Pumps or want 400 Tiles? And do you want 400 of whatever per Parcel or equally distributed between those three parcels?
  7. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Almighty Nienaber - Things can get silent and then they can get busy - it's all apart of the cycle . not real worried. It'll kick up when the website is completed. - Btw your factories are complete and will be posted next update... deathtopumpkins - Your signposts are complete and can be downloaded here - Be advised you may still need to play around with the placement but I believe it'll be okay.
  8. Highway Standard SignPosts

Yeah I'm going to leave them up. I'm eventually going to release a sign pack and the Lantia style sign posts... There's other goodies such as street lamps aswell
  9. Highway Standard SignPosts

    Version 1.0

    1,908 Downloads

These are models in which you can use to put your signboards on. They do light up (although it's up to you to get them to light up in-game) They've already been moved from the 0,0 point to represent placement for both the RHW4 and RHW6 RHW4 is versatile and can be used on Avenues and Ground Highways aswell. RHW6 is independant and can only be used on RHW6 as it's slightly wider and takes more space. They'll be premiered on the Blue Hope City Journal in requests of Freeway Signs
  10. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

deathtopumpkins - Yeah I believe those are mostly finished - I just need to check the placement locations and I'll try to send them by Monday - I likely wont have internet access on Saturday and Sunday. The rivers flow due South... but that is a good idea now that you bring it up.
  11. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Very quick Update! First off the Lantia Sign Posts are complete aswell as the Standard Sign Posts I'm still working on the RHW6 Version of both posts.. ..I'm going to give you a quick sneakpeack of just how large the island of Newark really is and what this region will eventually open up to... __________________________________ Click these images for full resolution... _______________ Newark the Island Click for Full Resolution - It's nowere near done but I decided to show you and in corrilation to your development in the region...
  12. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Update - You can now download high quality versions of the Video on the First Page of the CJ - However in process I also screwed up quite a bit of data - the Youtube Videos are no longer there along with the entire first update - I'll have to repair that when I get some time...
  13. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

deathtopumpkins - He'll get that up as soon as I can get him the jobs list (again). As for biulding the sound bariers - lets first wait for the score update so we can see how the tollway itself is going to be paid for or if Tuckaway Transportation are also going to incur some of the costs. Also I'm going to re-upload the entire region first and let everyone download the most up to date version so noones development gets cancled out. I'm unsure if you have the most up to date version of that parcel or not so just to play it safe lets wait until that system is up and running. Almighty Nienaber - Cool ubeans2001 - Heh which video? jacqulina - Ty btw you have a really nice CJ yourself. renemone - Ty haljackey - Yup thats Exit 0 - Had to make it that way because 130 was supposed to continue North from Hwy 25 while 25 Proceeded Northwest over the Oconee River. Funny thing is, even after that at-grade intersection and after the bridge, it has another interchange with Highway 2 (where Hwy 2 terminates) and continues north. The At-Grade road that crosses it before the bridge will eventually be converted into an Overpass or an small interchange, but most likely an overpass.
  14. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Benedict - Yeah it's quite feat... ...things have been going relatively slow with it lately though but hopefully the new update system will really kick it up. deathtopumpkins - Oconee Village (along with a tremendous update) was actually posted on the day right before Simtropolis experience a severe crash. The crash resulted in the loss of over 50 images from that update and I'm still in process of recovering them. lilmanjs - We are shifting into a new Updating System in which you can perform your own updates by making an account on the Blue Hope CJ Website (when it's finally complete) downloading the Parcel, performing your update, and uploading it and posting your own update when it's done.. ..There's more to it though, visit the first page of this CJ. I've also uploaded all the videos to Youtube and they can all be viewed from the first page... I've uploaded all the high quality formats into a server to be downloaded if you want a more crisp view but I havnt posted the links to them yet. Recovered some lost data from our Update Also NLMG (Newark, Lantia, Mobility Group) wants to know if they can borrow points from Tuckaway Transportation to complete the Highway 130 Tollroad and will Tuckaway Transportation require a route cosigned from the Newark Turnpike Enterprise to proceed with that deal? un1 - Understandable. I need to really update and simplify the scoring system anyway.
  15. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

FlyingHat - Great job, can't wait until it's complete. un1 - *Knows the feeling* deathtopumpkins - I've contacted him regarding the scoring issue... ...I'm still awaiting a response myself - if he takes too long then I'll do something...
  16. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Finally found some spare time... In regards to the previous update that was seemingly chopped into pieces by our friendly neighbhoorhood hackers, I will now repost the data that was lost... _____________________ First off... The completion of the first phase of the... The expressway departs from Highway 25 and proceeds North-East along the Oconee River through Johnson Village, Riverseed, Fireplace and eventually the Oconee Village. It is a Tollroad that was constructed by the NLMG in which will recieve partial funding from the Newark Turnpike. It is unknown if it will have to share a cosign route number with a Newark Turnpike shield. Click for larger image! Exit 0 - The Tollroad departs from Highway 25 and proceeds North / North East Exit 1 - The first exit is tolled, Northbound Exit / Southbound Entry. This divided highway proceeds as an atgrade route to Highway 104, an route to the Airport. Exit 2 - Tolled - Northbound Exit / Southbound Entry - A new route that serves access to an industrial area and crosses the Oconee River to Turner Station / Highway 2. Southbound travelers are advised to enter Highway 2 to the Newark 101 Turnpike here instead of Highway 25. -Toll Plaza- Exit 3 - Tolled - Northbound Entry / Southbound Exit - Riverseed / Johnson Village. This exit was at first constructed for Johnsonvillage however is being upgraded into a divided highway for the anticipation of increased traffic due to the tollroad. It was also extended across the Oconee River to Highway 25 as another route into Fireplace, Exit 4 - Tolled - Northbound Entry / Southbound Exit. This road was extended from fireplace across the tollroad. Currently all Northbound traffic is forced to exit here as the tollroad does not continue any further. The interchange was completed regardless to preserve the space for the expansion of the tollroad. Closeup Photos! Exit 0 Exit 1 Exit 2 Exit 3 The extension to Highway 25 Exit 4 NLMG I applogize for the extended delay but your deed will be presented upon the payment on the expressway. ____________________________________________ While we're here, lets have a look at the expansion of Johnson Village and the birth of Riverseed. Johnson Village and Riverseed An overview image of Johnsonvillage / Riverseed. In Johnsonvillage, The construction of the tollway has forced commercial offices to relocate onto the road that once bordered the Oconee River. It has promoted growth of new comercial services / offices in anticipation of more traffic however. The expansion of the residential subdivisions. These residents can now commute to Auringy City / Newark much easier with the Tollroad. Riverseed however sits at the front seat of the new tollway. At first this quiet community had a great overview of the Oconee River but now the only thing they can see is asphalt and listen to the rumble of cars traveling at high speeds just past their community. Residents DEMAND that the NLMG install sound bariers near their interchange of Exit 3. ___________________________________ Further South and to the East we find ... New Youngestown! A residential comunity with a sparce plunk of Industry that is extremely convinient to the Newark International Airport. This interchange was constructed for Newyoungstown and is just east of the city. It is the 2nd and final exit for this stretch of roadway. North leads to Fireplace, South leads to highway 104. Technically this road is NOT a freeway as it spends most of its duration at-grade. ___________________________________________ Moving up north... The Oconee Village! A community silently sitting on the Oconee River far north of Newark where most of man's infastructure has not (yet) touched. The final northern city in the Newark area, even further north than Fireplace. This small community has access to Highway 25 by crossing the Oconee River by the bridge shown here. Soon it will have access to Highway 130 upon its completion. _________________________________________________ While we move into Newark, Almightyneinabar might be pleased to know that in Gretna... FIREWORKS FLY!!! Overview of Gretna which is seated firmly upon the 101 Turnpike... Gretna's expansion of its residential community... ...developes. The development of Gretna matures within the inner Newark area... Congratulations Almighty Nienabar! __________________________________________ The next update will be divided upon Highway 504, Almighty Nienabar's Projects, and Newarks new Oil Rigs provided by Willg... After which, Blue Hope will proceed into the NEW updating system. See you soon.
  17. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Yeah we have the same HOV markings here in Atlanta.. ...The Diamond actually doesnt stand for HOV - it stands for "Lane Restriction" and it's restricted to whatever the sign states - in this case ..HOV...
  18. BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

Yeah sure, stop by - I have several sign requests waiting on the back pages
  19. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

deathtopumpkins - It's quite normal, some dude tossed his hat and it flew to the Blue Hope Server and blew it up .. ..I kid, we're just upgrading things _________________ I've updated page 1 of this City Journal in which so you can watch all of the videos from there...
  20. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

Attn: I have updated the Main Page in which goes in more detail as to how the new updating system will work... Also you can now view ALL of Blue Hopes Videos from the main page.. ...I couldn't get them ALL to upload however so be aware that you may need to click on the links to view them
  21. BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

They show up find in GMax/Bat and I even select the option to say it lights up at night on the plugin manager. Whenever it gets dark though, it never lights up, even when power is applied. I named the lights... nitelite1 nitelite2 nitelite3 nitelite4 nitelite5 nitelite6 nitelite7 No spaces at all... What should I check?
  22. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

    un1 - Welcome aboard, we're glad you're back
  23. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

jacqulina - ty deathtopumpkins - Hey it happens, It's been bumped to the 4th and 5th page before so I'm not to concerned as far as that goes... Sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's not, it's what we enjoy that keeps it alive.. I'd like to see the new textures myself. ..any news if there will be textures much like the RHW for the Ground Highway? it would be nice to have a bit of consistancy between the transitions... un1 - Enjoy yourself - if you ever decide to return then feel free...
  24. What happened to the NAM transit mods?

Basically they completely changed NAM instead of improving what they had.. I'm not too fond of the changes either..
  25. Blue Hope - The Interactive City Journal

deathtopumpkins - It's far from dead - it's only changing to become more efficient... I have not and will not forget about this CJ - btw Im still fixing your sign posts.. having issues with placement and lighting but will mostly be resolved... I can't gauruntee you any date because currently things are going EXTREMELY hectic on my end but I will promise you'll get them on time... fourthparallel - Thank you... Shingure - Thanks - It's getting extremely difficult here so things are going to be very slow for awhile but when they pick up again - those who remain will experience a much more efficient updating system... Mr. Monorail Man - HOV lanes are nice but not necessary on Newarks Highways because most of the freight traffic is handled by rail - the few trucks that use it don't congest the highway enough to opt for such a feat for installation... AceofSpades - Welcome back, is it warm there yet? deathtopumpkins - It's because they always seek the fastest route and because ground highways have a higher speed limit than one way roads, they can get there faster on even a crowded ground highway than an empty oneway road.. ...the only way to remedy that is to force them to use the HOV lanes - ever think of installing Park/Ride accessable Bus Stops with ramps that ONLY lead into the HOV Lanes? un1 - Congrats! jacqulina - Thank you ______________________________ Things are going extremely hectic for me as of late - Transportation Issues, Moving, and College - My main priority is to set up an update system in which each member can selectively perform their own update on a parcel - sharing parcels will be performed on a turn base of who's development is approved first - from there you will have up to one week to re-uppload that parcel or post it on the Blue Hope CJ website or your turn will be skipped. If for any reason it will take more than one week (The 101 Turnpike / E-W Connector MIS upgrades costed me 2 - 3 weeks) then you will need to divide the project up into phases in which you can complete each at different intervals - ONLY if someone else has requested that parcel... Just incase - I will need to reitterate that I am NOT going to kill Blue Hope - I just won't be performing updates unless under certain circumstances... - you'll be in full control of your own development after the upload of the regions. I presume when college lightens up a bit - during my 2 week break I may or may not beable to return to developing the storyline before Soni wakes up to find himself living in a city of over 1 Million people in the blink of an eye ... This is just a friendly reminder of where I'm at with everything... Status - Repost of Last Update - In Queue - Server issues severely delayed me along with moving Highway Sign Mount Pack for RHW4&6 - In Progress - 75% complete Almighty Nienabar's Tower / Industrial Request - In Queue Server Setup to accept Incoming File Transfers for Blue Hope Members - In Progress - 35% Complete
