  1. Welcome to my journal, TheMentalist. Well, I didn't know about your New West England. Let me see your city. The NWS is a parody of the NSW (New South Wales), actual state name in Australia.
  2. Thanks for your comment, Samerton. This freeway diverges into another motorway at the top of above pic. Other pics will be upload soon.
  3. There is an international airport in the suburb 10 km from the city of Belford. City and the airport are connected with motorways such as Airport drive and Westgate freeway. Public transports are buses and taxis. Train is proposed.
  4. City Centre CBD vied from the north You can see High street with 6 lanes at the middle of this pic. There are some historic buildings between high-rise office buildings. Also there are department stores and shopping complex buildings. Detail of the above picture. There are British traditional buildings at the middle. There is Central Library across the street. This Miller Street is eastbound one way with 3 lanes. City of Belford at night (from the south) City viewed from the east City is divided east and west by the elevated motorway, "Belford urban motorway." The western part (upper) is City Centre and the eastern part (lower) is City East. Both are the largest CBDs in the city and the region. City East Square in the centre of City East CBD between high-rise buildings. The street from east to west (top to bottom in this pic) is High street and south to north (left to right) is Queen Street.
  5. Westgate freeway which connects the city west, south western suburbs, north western suburb, and the airport. Mortorways from several areas connect this freeway so there are 4 lanes in each direction (8-lane total). Even this, traffic congestion often occurs in the morning and the evening rush hour on weekdays.

Reading is the capital of Readingshire, but not in the UK, one country (fictional) of the british commonwealth nations. This is my first city journal and I'm sorry for poor English because I'm not native English speaker. Anyway, let me get started. The first picture is overall view of Readingshire. Reading is located in the southeast.

This town is famous for Camden Valley which is a pretty village in the valley. Camden Valley is somehow very popular among foreign tourists, while it is boring for local people. The town centre of Camden is more British than Reading, that means many old brick buldings along High Street. Large Roundabout in Camden Town of Woodstock Population: 8,500 Woodstock Railway Station: Used to be small rural town before 1990s Woodstock is located in the north of Reading. It used to be a small village but after 1990s, when large industrial park was built, many peple commuted to Woodstock from the next city, Reading. The town rapidly grew up, especially in South Woodstock located in just north of Reading. South Woodstock: It takes only 20 mins from Reading CBD by train. Thank you for coming, mates! >> ledge69 Do you mean the town in the west of London? I have been there just one time and I lost my way there due to complicated one-way traffic. But I like the town! >> Deathtoall Exactly! You must be familiar to that pic. I think that Sydney's north shore is very nice place. >> jacqulina Thank you for coming many times! And it's my pleasure you like my CJ. Please wait for a moment until next update.

Newtown Rd. is a main road between CBD and Newtown, a suburb located in north of Reading, and also is a part of A1 highway. City Rd.(A1) in south Reading at night, viewed from the south. South Reading is one of the oldest suburb in Reading, which is located in just south of CBD. There are many mid-rise apartments and some office and shops near the railway station. City Rd. is a main road between south end of CBD and the airport(domestic), also a part of A1 highway. Reading International Airport This is the only international airport in Readingshire, located in southern coast. 20 mins. from the CBD by car or bus via City Rd. and Southern motorway. Eastway(M) Eastway is the busiest road in Reading between CBD and East Reading. This is short motorway with 8 lanes in each direction. = Update = Okay, you can see the unique region view. There are some Japanese characters. I put a few pics because I don't have so much time for updating. Kings Gate Kings Gate is one of the oldest suburb in Reading, located in just south of CBD. This area is called "Little London" because there are many British-style buldings, while there are hi-rise buldings in CBD. Actually this picture looks like somewhere in UK, doesn't it? Public transport is convenient. Underground railway and buses go to CBD or other suburbs. On the other hand, road traffic is not so good because almost all roads have 1 lane in each direction. Broad street or motorway is hard to build to preserve old buldings. CBD night view CBD is often called "City" in this region. You can see some hi-rise buldings in this picture. Hi-rise buildings are not common in the UK except recent London but not so special in the British commonwealth countries as Australia or New Zealand. Reading is also in the commonwealth so there are hi-rise buldings.

City North Intersection Upgrade This Intersection Newtown Rd.(A1) and Oxford St. (A31) always had traffic jam in the rush hour. Newtown Rd. is a part of Princess Highway(A1) between Preston, second largest city in Readingshire, and Reading. Oxford St. is a part of Eastern Highway from Reading to Eastern Suburbs. City North Intersection viewed from the north (before upgrade) Then this intersection was changed as follows to solve the traffic problem. After upgrade, the southbound traffic from Newtown Rd. can't turn right at the intersection (just through Oxford St.) and the northbound from Queen St. is for left-turn only (can't go to Oxford St.) at any time with care (Give Way to Oxford St.) Then the traffic light is removed from here. This picture is the same as above one after upgrade.
