well thanks so far...off to read the beginner faq... I think it happened because employment was too high - I zoned more residential and everything came back to life....is this a possible explaination?

hello all, my nice city with 200K people was going along quite nicely. I'd just spent a lot of time planting trees and reducing the commute time (now at about 55) when suddenly the demand for HT industry, residential$$$, and $$$ commercial have just dived to a massive negative! What happened - any ideas? (also has any on invented a better way of placing trees that the annoying planting individually method?)
