lol, I think they (the french) wanted to give the Germans a better deal of they would invalid them again. . Well I bought an limited eddition already but lets hope that they will change their mind and include it with the full game and make the GEMS the Planet offer.

Whats making me hesitant by canceling my preorder is that there is at least room for improvement by updates. The graphics are mind blowing (at least for my system on a gtx 285), but they are missing the very important vibe that sim city gives me. Hard to explain what that is but it I get random frustrations that I know sim city already perfected. Like upgrading a small street to a road to help cope with traffic. You have to blow away the whole development in order to do that. Another frustration is the resources and how hard it is to get water and fuel. I know they want to make this game as real as possible but I have a city that I cant improve on because water is way to expensive and I cannot buy water from other traders (or at least its not allowing me to)

no worries. I've been playing it for about 5 hours now. I think I need SLI now. Anyway I am sure you dont have windows 7 unless you are beta testing it. I am using RC1 Client right now.

SOLVED: If you are using a windows 7 machine, install the program using the compatibility mode on the installer CitiesXLDemo.exe. I reinstalled it doing that and then selected the program (by right clicking the icon) and select it to run in vista compatibility mode. Works!

I am also on windows 7 RC1 too. I think I am going to uninstall it and reinstall it in vista compatibility mode

I am getting a message: Error: Can't find the file key.xml, impossible to continue. After selecting OK, the game crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't do the trick (with rebooting betweet them). I did try to be appart of Beta and installed part one way back when but I did not get a key and uninstalled it. Cant play BETA and now DEMO? That's a double whammy. At least I know I have it coming in the mail in october... Anyone have any ideas to figure this out???
