Yeah, Atari! Atari games were the first games I played too... There was the one with the falling metorites you had to destroy Atlantis Missle Comand *shudders* Maze Craze Keystone Kapers Pitfall (Pit with the baloon & bats beyond frustrating) Montazuma's Revenge Joust (maybe or maybe NES, can't remember) And who could forget it's horrific controler... it took the "joy" out of joypad. The Comodore 64 was around this time too although I only remember playing Bubble Bobble and an odd game named Phantasm. Next was the NES: Original Mario plus #2 and #3 (I remember renting an imported Baby Mario game too). Mega Man games from 2 to probably 5 Castlevania III (never was able to finish although always wanted to) Bubble Bobble Rygar (barely remember) Blaster Master (or was it Master Blaster?) Elevator Action Mappy Land Little Nemo Excite Bike Double Dragon (loads of fun) The second Zelda game but not getting far (I remember making it to the horse head boss). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (so horribly frustrating, never got far) The SNES was my system. My happiest gaming memories come from this system in the form of Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Secret of Mana. Super Mario World Super Castlevania (also a fav; had sweet soundtrack). Act Raiser 1 & 2 (loved 1) Contra III (couldn't get far) The joy that was Mario Kart Mario Paint (pointless yet amusing) Megan X and X2 SimCity 2000 (Green haired guy hurrah!) Super Gouls'n Ghosts (frustrating yet fun) Yoshi's Island (great game too) After this it's more specific games as opposed to systems that mattered: First Tomb Raider (classic, timeless game) Ocarina of Time (another game I never get tired of) Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (the best Casltevania ever) FF 9 & 10 SimCity 2000, 3000, & 4000 (hours and hourse and hours...) Civ 2, 3, and 4 (same as above) Ascendance(y)? (PC sci-fi space exploration and sim game which was disgustingly addictive) Prince of Persia, Sands of Time (haven't played the third one because the second one was maddening) RailRoad Tycoon 2 and 3 RollerCoaster Tycoon 1, 2, & 3 (My heart remains with 1 and 2) Wow! Sitting back and thinking about this has been very refreshing and nostalgic! Good memories, good thread.
