*smacks self for saying monorail* sorry, it was the elevated rail loop puzzle piece. I must've treated them as one and the same. no, I haven't seen a monorail loop either.

I'm wondering if there's any plans to add rail loops, interchanges and such. not the monorail, but the freight one. I know monorail has a puzzle loop piece to drop in, but I didn't see anything for freight rail, unless I missed it somewhere. Anyway, I think some freight rail loops and interchanges would be nice additions. Since NAT requires rush hour expansion, more puzzle pieces to ease places of loops and such would benefit those that like doing U-drive missions. Quite a chore to lay down the rail piece by piece. If it's already in NAT, I haven't found it yet. if not, will freight rail loops be added in the next update? I've already did a forum search for "rail puzzle" and "rail loop" with no results for what I require. I used the same searches for STEX lots, and came up nil. thanks in advance to your response. EDIT: Apologies, I got monorail and elevated rail mixed up. NAT has elevated rail loops, but monorail loops would be nice too.

Do Signs & Labels eat resources too?

I plan to make a metropolis with the large city tile with u-drive missions available. Street names help of course. suggest you use numbers instead of noun names for your streets. it'll make them easier to relate to one another, and you won't be eating up more memory with names like Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious Dr. -
You probably put down passenger rail stations and wondered why the U-drive training mission didn't show up? I think everyone has that problem. the training mission requires the freight station, not passenger station.

I had a problem with the ferry mission too till I used the cheat to drop a marina in. I'm just guessing here, but one of the triggers to start the boat training mission require the marina to be present. maybe this is a bug, or maybe it's designed to force you to get the marina the old fashioned way. Anyway, one thing these training vehicle missions have in common is, they only need to be done once. Long as you don't uninstall the game and then install it later on, once you finish a training mission you'll never see it again. Simplest solution is to pick a city tile with water, use the cheat code to put down a marina, then do the boat training mission. after that, you can quit back to the region then play as you normally do. if you had any ferries in your city, you should be able to do the whale watching mission now to get the marina as a reward. Remember, you only need to do training missions once. I even had similar problems with the trains. I started with passenger rail trains so I can give my sims better commute time, but the game requires a freight station to be placed down before you can train to drive a train and do missions. Anyway thanks for the tips in these forums. it really helped with earning the marina from the ferry mission. Now if only I could earn the city zoo from the fire plane. . . . and yes, I know it's probably a waste of real-estate and money to have the zoo, but I'm a completionist.
