Stumbled into a problem when trying to render: the map isn't 1025x1025 and won't render.

Map of Jönköping, Sweden. It's my first attempt, and the scale of the region may be totally off. I've managed to create what I believe is a pretty accurate map of the South Vättern area, but the heights may be totally off when it comes away from the waters. I did this from a airphoto, so the bright and dark parts on the photo does not match heights. As you can see I also have to lower the terrain two levels on each city. Any tips on how to improve or where to be able to find better altitude maps of Sweden? /Phil

This should be a pretty accurate map of the area around the city of Jönköping, located in south Sweden at the south end of lake Vättern.

OK, I'm back, now with some knowledge from MellowtheCloud on how to use Global Mapper, and after some testing and tweaking inside that program, I actually came up with something that feels very right terraform-wise, and if I haven't misscalculated, even should be correct on scale. By doing some different settings in the gradient map mode in Global Mapper I could adjust the level at lake Vattern to be just below 80, and the shorelines start 84 (88m), and the highest land top around 180 (360m). It became this result, and no need for adjustments in game. And I have to say that it feels very right, as right as one can get things when lakes above sea level aren't possible. So some minor lakes are missing. Where the yellow square is, is the real location of the city Jönköping. If it looks good to you folks, where and how should I upload it? It's a simple bmp-file only.

No shortcuts to the perfect map, ey? I'll go through it step by step and see what I can learn. Thanks!

And maybe, while you're working, what about including Växjö too? Would be nice to see my town up on ST.. I've also tried to find some swedish maps out on the internet, realising that google Earth is the only way to get acceptable pics from... but please tell me if you know anything better. Have a great time around, ... mambomumba ...quote> Yeps, Sweden calling here, Jönköping så klart! :&gt jag tror inte regionen är stor nog för att få med Växjö? Den är 1025*1025 .... hur stort blir det? Skulle va intressant att göra en jätteregion över södra Sverige! Back to english: Before I upload anything, I have to get a better knowledge of how to manage maps to import, so they are as accuarate as possible as black/white bmp, so the need to adjust in game would be as little as possible. I used an aerophoto shot from Eniro, and had to tweak it a whole lot before it could be used in any way. I'll check Google earth out and see whaat I can find!
