The tragic story of Victor Fries. Giligone: Me neither. But he's voiced by the untouchable Mark Hammil, so that automatically cancels out. Godzillaman: You know, I'm actually not sure which is the tallest. With the angle and perspective of SC4, it's hard to tell which building is the tallest. pat: I've been doing that for a long time, but glad you like it. Flying_Scarecrow: Then you'll be in for a treat this Christmas... Benedict: Glad you like the building choice. I wanted something menacing, representing great power--not to mention keeping with the theme of Art-deco. csgsceri: The irony! ky72x: Good analogy concerning the friends and enemies. We'll see what happens... Next: The attack on Gothcorp Headquarters begins!

Compassion and greed. crazyyaya: Thanks. I like to update regularly. It keeps things flowing nicely. pat: It's indeed a great episode. BubbaGump: Thanks! suplado! Thanks, suplado. Giligone: He's actually not that bad of a politician. As an actor...well... Next: The tragic origin of Mr. Freeze.

Crystal City | The End of the World is Just the Beginning
SpecialEddie replied to football_fever's topic in SC4 City Journals
Was the easter egg the comic book format or the Troy screencaps? Story is flowing smoothly as always. -
Who the hell was the idiot who fertilized her? My bet was 17.

Gothcorp, one of the largest corporations in Gotham State, provides freezing equipment for restaurants, scientific institutions, and factories. It's government funded cryogenic program is also one of the best in the nation... Benedict: Building and vehicular matching are some of my priorities. Thanks for supporting this CJ! serebii666: Who knows! Giligone: This came before Arnold Schwarzenegger and was actually an excellent Mr. Freeze story. Arnold butchered the character and for that he will pay! Next: Bruce Wayne and Ferris Boyle: Face to face!
-
Still one of the best CJs around.
-
The final robbery! football_fever: The trailer owned my update? And you can't TWSS'd yourself! By the way, I'll try to check Crystal City soon, I've been pretty busy. But if there's an easter egg for me... pat: It is indeed a great trailer. Glad you like the update. csgsceri: You should make a visit to the states then! Giligone: Glad your ISP is up. And thanks for visiting! Benedict: Thanks...maybe it'll be another great end? Hahayoudied: Thanks. ky72x: I am particularly fond of the Gothcorp factory too. The trailer, I also have to admit, is excellent. If the movie is half as good as the trailer, I'll be one happy camper. GreekMan: Thanks. Next! Gothcorp Headquarters

aaHeart of Ice A mysterious assailant is targeting GothCorp facilities all over the city. These robberies aren't pointless however. Behind the thefts of cryogenic equipment lies the tragic story of a brilliant scientist and the woman he was trying to save. What does it take to make an ordinary man into a cold-hearted, emotionless killer? A vendetta. Story by: Paul Dini Adapted by: SpecialEddie pat: Thanks for stopping by. Godzillaman: All ingredients of a great action story! suplado! Thanks for your support. You always manage to take the time to comment. I appreciate it. csgsceri: Mr. Freeze? Wrong! LEGO_tm: The inner monologue makes the man! I've never watched Spiderman: TAS, so I'm not sure how internal thinking would work on a show that scale. It works in comic book format though! By the way, I'll provide a link to the High-def trailer below. football_fever: Maybe even...R! ky72x: There aren't supposed to be any cars, silly! Glad you like it. Winter themed story coming right up. The CEO of Gothcorp, Ferris Boyle represents the heart of Gotham's corrupt businesses. A thief and a cheat (even by corporate standards), Ferris Boyle cares only about one thing--money. Human life holds no monetary value to him. He's winning Gotham's Humanitarian Industrialist of the Year tonight. Revenge. Next: The final robbery. And if anyone's interested, here's the new Dark Knight theatrical trailer: http://atasteforthetheatrical.com/deathtrap/default.htm

The epic chase...the epic conclusion. Terror in the Sky. suplado! Thanks! Well it's the Chrysler Tower, so not a lot of differences there. csgsceri: It's the angle that makes it seem wider than it is. It's not a big deal. NMUSpidey: NOTHING exceeds Batman in the coolness factor! Greekman: ... ky72x: Thanks. Brings back good memories! jacqulina: Glad you like it. Next--a new storyline (just in time for Christmas): Heart of Ice
-
Number 2...not bad.
-
It's Francine Langstrom's turn... suplado! Definitely the hair... csgscseri: Thanks for stopping by. KamiKaZantA: Am I supposed to answer that question? zgrillo2004: Eh. He's okay at best. bbfan02: Shh! It's not photoshop. BubbaGump: Damn right, brutha! Preach it! GreekMan: Waaa? ky72x: It was indeed her all along. But for God's sake, I thought someone was going to be tipped off by the pink pants! Hahayoudied: No thanks, I think I'll stop right here. Francine Langstrom Exposed accidentally to the Man-Bat serum, Francine Langstrom's cells have mutated into a more dangerous form of the mutagen--more violent and aggressive than ever. Now it all comes down to whether Batman can stop her in time for she is...the Terror in the Sky. Next! Don't miss the epic conclusion!

The flight departs! GreekMan: You will NEVER get out. suplado! Thanks, glad you like it. Next: Flight of the She-Bat!
-
Archie Goodwin International Airport--snowed in! aleking: Of course I'm getting paid for this! frogface: It gets thicker from here! GreekMan: Glad you like it. football_fever: I actually thought more people would notice it wasn't Kirk Langstrom chasing Batman. I mean come on--what kind of man wears pink pants! They will have a conversation in the airport, too...just not as abrupt and direct as your example. Giligone: She's a She-Bat! pat: It's okay, you don't have to keep replying EVERY day. Even I can't catch up with my own CJ! Benedict: She was wearing pink pants for God's sake! Next! The flight departs...

Suspicions are cast aside, but a new suspect arises. The REAL Man-Bat is revealed. GreekMan: Maybe. Should I? football_fever: Search on the STEX for "simrolle" or "Bahn" That'll give you the El-Rail shops and a bunch of other useful goodies. Benedict: Puns ftw! I thought up "Cold Pursuit" just as I was updating. But I WAS surprised that I got a Trixie. I don't know...I thought I was going to be in for another disappointing year. csgsceri: That was a Japanese mod. Damn...can't remember the name. Next: Gotham International is snowed in.
-
Batman is being pursued--by none other than the Terror in the Sky! GreekMan: Thanks. BubbaGump: It's pretty cold here too, and it's California! suplado! Thanks, I like the snow effects myself. Benedict: Glad you like it. But I'm surprised you didn't get a Trixie either? Next! The Man-Bat is revealed...
-
A big chase scene happens next update. It takes place here. Darmok: Your bias clouds your opinions! Shame! Glad you like everything and thanks for stopping by. That "Best Presentation" trixie sounds like a good deal. Maybe next year! BubbaGump: Thanks for commenting. pat: Thanks! Congrats on your Trixie as well. csgcseri: Haha, maybe... suplado! Thanks, I like it myself too. Giligone: The hell it was. Next! The Man-Bat is on Batman's tail!
-
Suspicion is everywhere. GreekMan: Actually just one Trixie, but if you insist...By the way, ftw means ftw! Godzillaman: I actually thought I was going to win something different. Best Story caught me by surprise! Giligone: Thanks. Unfortunately, it doesn't snow here in Cali! purpledaddy: Holy genre change indeed. And where've you been! My CJs have missed the presence of a certain purple suit. ky72x: I bet Dirk wrote the first quote in the envelope. Just kidding. Glad you liked the mega update (I was behind schedule!). I was actually satisified with how the snow effects turned out (it was my first time editing something on that scale). Joker's Favor is also one of my favorite stories, so translating it was fun. csgsceri: Thanks! I'm okay with a constant barrage of "That's fantastic"s. Congrats on your medal as well. suplado! Thanks, and congratulations on your award too. NMUSpidey: I hate waiting on the sheer awesomeness of Batman too! Next in Terror in the Sky: The Chase!
-
The Trixie was well-deserved!

PJ, come back!

Terror in the Sky It's winter in Gotham and an eight foot bat is once again terrorizing the city. Batman suspects Kirk Langstorm is transforming once again, even though he was inoculated with the Man-Bat vaccine just months before. But one thing is for certain, even though the identity of this murderous Man-Bat is shrouded in mystery, there is something loose in the airs above Gotham--a Terror in the Sky! Story by: Steve Perry, Mark Saraceni Adapted by: SpecialEddie GreekMan: Christmas-themed stories ftw! football_fever: Two-Face WILL be in the movie. Set reports and interviews have confirmed it. He won't be appearing until later on in the movie however (2/3 maybe). I'm sure Christopher Nolan will balance out his villains as well as he did in Begins (Ra's, Scarecrow, Falcone). Oh and let us not speak of Spider-Man 3! suplado! Thanks and congratulations on a well deserved Trixie. Benedict: It's a fairy tale conclusion! jacqulina: Thanks. The harbor, located on Gotham's Atlantic border, is one of the city's main ports. Even though the harbor has declined since the Depression, imports and exports still flow in and out of the harbor continuously. A recent trade deal with 5 South American nations has given a slight boost to the port. Tropical goods are arriving in Gotham by the boatlight. The Man-Bat is back! Next! Terror in the Sky continues!

Originally posted by: Darmok So, before Eddie (Special Eddie that is...) accuse me of pulling a Halle Berry... (and don't you dare say too late! hehehe...) I'll wrap this up. Congrats to all winners you all deserve it, congrats also to all nominees, it really is an honor being there in your company. (I should have been a politician don't you think.... NAHHHHH.....) And even if I won that Mosaic Trixie, for which I'm very pleased BTW! I'll tell you this.... I'll never do that again... man that was tedious work! OK OK Eddie.... I'm finished WINK Too all, take care... and yes... enjoy life! -Johnquote> That was a Halle Berry if I ever saw one! Well--what can I say? I've been waiting to get one of those cute medals under my name for over a year and after a big disappointment last season(how hard is it to be a runner up when only two people are nominated?? ), I vowed to get one this year--at ANY cost. Yes, that's right. I rigged the results tried for over a year to create the best CJ I could. Coincidentally, about a year ago from today was the day that I started my Gotham City project--now everyone knows how I update so quickly! And is it ironic that I used to dislike story-based CJs, only to win the most coveted of award from that genre? Of course not! When making Gotham City, I thought about everything that I didn't like about CJs that incorporated a storyline. Long, dragging story-arcs easily lose audiences over a period of time. Blocks of long text discourage new-time readers. Some people simply don't have the time to read an update that would probably encompass a small 50 page book--that simply won't do! And of course everyone's on an SC4 site to look at the pretty pictures! So I set a plan to create a CJ that would have small, short storylines (so new readers can pick up at any time!), a bunch of eyecandy, and a unique storytelling layout. It worked! Now on to the thank yous. I'd like to thank the creators of the Batman Animated Series (I can almost here them screaming "copyright violation!!!) for giving me source material to work with (I reworked the dialogue and storylines you screwed up on!!! ), and of course Simtropolis, the Dirktator (may he live forever), and everyone who nominated me (about time!). I'm also glad that a bunch of my written nominations made it onto the envelopes (guess which ones!) and that janype one funniest poster of the year. "Happy tiiimes!"

Should I pull a Halle Berry?

And where's the champagne? We need champagne Now look as hard as you can with this blunt in your hand And now hold up your chain slow motion through the flames Now cue the smoke machines and the simulated rain But not too loud 'cause the baby's sleepin I wonder if it knows what the world is keepin Up both sleeves while he lay there dreamin Me and my robot tip-toe 'round creepin I had to turn my back on what got you paid I couldn't see half the hood on me like Abu Ghraib But I'd like to thank the streets that drove me crazy And all the televisions out there that raised me, I was Daydream I fell asleep beneath the flowers For a couple of hours On a beautiful day Daydream I dream of you amid the flowers For a couple of hours Such a beautiful day Daydream I fell asleep beneath the flowers For a couple of hours On a beautiful day Daydream I dream of you amid the flowers For a couple of hours Such a beautiful day Discuss.

Irony has the last laugh. GreekMan: Indeed. suplado! Thanks. This has always been one of my favorites. football_fever: Who's the nobody? Can't wait for the Dark Knight as well. Oh and by the way...you probably won't have to wait until the third movie to see Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face... ky72x: Thanks. Colored boxes are my specialty. I really try to make the colors stand out. BubbaGump: For the win, indeed. For the win, indeed... New storyline: December is here and so are winter-themed updates--Terror in the Sky!
