to my knowledge there were no actual expansions or patches to this game. This was released at a time when patching software really wasn't a thing (pre-internet) there were several versions of the game released. The expansion pack is only a scenario pack and I can find nothing about patches "exclusive" to it. Is an mmorpg, things which are updated and patch constantly outside of expansion packs. Did you just make up a list of games you know? The rest of your list is as much garbage. A very long time ago when it was difficult to distribute patches, they may be included on things like demo CDs or on expansion packs. in this day and age, no. Publishers would not get away with fixing genuine bugs in a base game exclusively via a for pay expansion pack. They might change or alter gameplay, but not fix actual bugs.

Simcity 2013 at one year.

I highly doubt that's true. Skyrim, Diablo III, GTAV, etc... all had massives issues at launch including servers crashing. These games all had to have huge patches within the first few months to make them stable and fully playable. Diablo III had the same issues that SC2013 had as is suffering a similar fate. Major play backlash. Skyrim did not. GTAV seemed to suffer mostly from full servers, but they were servers that stayed up. I have no idea what you're including in "etc" but I don't think there is any other game out there that has had a launch like SC2013. The Hindenburg was more successful. -
I've recently decided to take another stab at this. what's up with some of this stuff? I've got residentials who simply say "Not happy!" there seems to be no indication as to why. Often it'll say, can't shop, can't find a park, no work, etc this is just nothing. They have 2 parks (not overloaded) within a block radius and half a dozen commercial properties around the same distance away, and jobs (low wealth, everything they need) Other ones claim they can't find shopping. half a block away is a commercial property (Same wealth level) say they can't find shoppers. it's walking distance. and yes they have goods available. The best is: Where is the shopping in this town? walk out your front door, look across the street.. go there..

Sims players love Simcity 2013? News to me......

This is an excuse, and not really a reason or an argument. It doesn't matter what they think we should "think" about the game. The reality is that everyone will try and tie it to SC4. EA already failed horribly with Societies, and Spore was extremely underwhelming. The only thing they've had success with is The Sims. It was also over the heavy dumming down of the game. Early E3 videos showed all kinds of exciting gameplay that was absolutely chopped to pieces by the time it was released. -
As things just tend to run slower on laptopsquote> That is just out right false. An identically spec'd laptop and desktop will run a program identically. The difference is we generally build our gaming desktops much better than your average business laptop. Get a gaming laptop and things will run just fine.

no.. a thousand times no.. its not remotely interesting. It is so simplified there might as well be a giant button in the middle of the screen that says "Push me to win, if you don't push me in the next 30 seconds I'll push myself"

I don't see a thread for this yet, but I thought I'd toss out a couple bugs I've found already: The Religious Retreat is tagged a worship building but there is no discount on the price of it for having Missions (these give you 10% discount each to a max of 50%). I haven't found any other buildings this hasn't worked on yet. In the same vein if you have buildings which give a discount on a certain type of don't apply this discount to the catalog. So if a build is $15,000 but you have a 50% discount on it, it doesn't apply until you select the building, which means if you only have $10,000 you can't buy it even though you have enough money because it won't let you select the building.
