  1. Nuclear Power?

ok, i'll report on it later.
  2. Nuclear Power?

Well, my main question is will it melt down if I demolish it? Can I bulldoze a nuclear plant like any other building?
  3. Nuclear Power?

cool, I'll have to enact the nuclear free ordinance then, since I don't even have any nuclear. Actually, don't ask me how but my mayor rating has been completely maxed for a while.
  4. I remember from past simcities that if your nuclear plant degraded or if you demolished it you'd get radiation issues in your city. Is this still the case in SC4? I've avoided nuclear because I've been afraid I can't demolish it later, and I'm concerned what would happen over time if it melts down.
  5. So how do you power YOUR city?

It's cheating, I guess, but I'm very partial to Raphaelninja's Ionic Fusor. I use it in my larger cities.
  6. medium city of 210,000, income: ~$750,000, draw in about $7,000 monthly. I've managed to keep the city profitable from the beginning, my lowest funds were about $25,000.
  7. What Airport is better To Get

I've already got a landing strip maxed out on a medium map, about 210,000 sims. Would it really boost commercial and industry to add a larger airport or would I be better off rezoning the land to something else?
  8. Also, there is a core2duo update through M$ on Windows update. If anybody needs it, AMD also released a dual core patch that synchs the timing on the processors for apps (games) that have issues/aren't coded for dual-core. AMD patch can be found here: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html It is the first download item on the page
  9. Make sure you alt+tab out to desktop and set the processor affinity to either 1 or 0 in task manager as well. My wife had similar issues and this resolved it. The game simply doesn't play well with dual core processors.
