Hi, is this project dead??? If not I have some C++ skills i would happily voulenteer, thanks.

Just to say, I totally agree with The_Sanderson. But this projects seems to be stuck and it needs a big push. Im sure there are loads of people on this site who could make a really great looking game but graphics isnt everything is it?? Lets start getting the basics for a game. Firstly what are the chances of getting the SC4 source code off of E.A.?? Not high im guessing. So maybe a code from scratch would be a better idea. I'd also like to say that i think it would be a good idea if any programmers on this site who would like to volunteer to help produce this game to put there names down here so we can get started. We will need people to start this game and thats whats its been missing. SO if there are any programers. 3D or sprite artists w.e. on here who would like to contribute big or small i think here is a great place to start.

I think you should just use one-way roads without the arrows, I should be less expensive, if you want more capacity you can do the same thing as you can with an avenue with a highway.

Hmm, good pic 9/10. I like the rail station & the use of trees. Very good, well done. I think i'll get a picture of my rural areas and post it here after.

In my oppinion they should make it SLIGHTLY bigger, I barely noticed it this morning. I am glad it's been put there, with all the spamming going on in the STEX lately I am glad Dirk or whoever put it up there has done so.

SC4Terraformer, a tool for regional handterraforming
mr.skyscrape replied to wouanagaine's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Originally posted by: jplumbley I forgot to mention this in my other post earlier. When I created the region and saved it I went into Sim City to see if it worked. What I found was the region was all water. For my region to show up what I had to do was go into each city tile separately and save them before my region finally took shape in Sim City. It doesnt bother me but I dont know if you can fix that. Thanks for the comment on the region maybe tonight I will do a bigger region test and then I will post a whole region photo of it. EDIT If you would like I can take the test file and do some further testing. JPlumbleyquote> Yes, I had the same problem. It's not that bad. But it must be really annoying if you have a REALLY big reigon EDIT: Nice region by the way! -
About the streets: Just line them up in a zigzag pattern like this: ss ss ss And so on, then use the ordinary street tool to join them up & hey presto! But I think it only works if you have the NAM Hope I helped

Starting a City Journal :)
mr.skyscrape replied to SpecialEddie's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
A good idea would be to make some interesting stories & plenty of pics. ( But not thousands because them people with Dial-up wont be so happy.) Historical CJ can be very interesting, but I would try to keep your ideas fairly original. Answering other peoples questions& thanking them for the kind comments help. P.S Good luck with your new CJ. -
City Requirements/Rant Problem.
mr.skyscrape replied to L'ynx's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
A good idea is to try & educate your sims. Then your sims should start demanding Manafacturing or High tech. But If you want high tech water your industrial ares & keep polution low. A good way is to have mid to high-wealth residents in your city! -
Would you consider a suburb like this to be
mr.skyscrape replied to shivsood's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Its OK, theres a lot of trees but its to griddy, try making streets running of a main road with Cul-der-sacs on the end. It looks realistic & makes for lower conjestion. Then Make high streets here & there. I also think it would be a good idea to leave a few spaces of woodland or A park to increase desirability & lower any polution. Good Luck with your new suburbs, try looking through some of the CJ's to get a good look. -
Should I use this region for my Second CJ?
mr.skyscrape replied to p1's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Maybe a Mountain range in the South & it will look better. I also agree with Newyorkstate about the edges but overall good. -
