Wind turbine destroyed after 'octopus UFO' seen in sky
JoystickJunkie replied to Meg's topic in Current Events
I reckon Cthulhu is to blame. Damn him. -
Very nice city, love your transport network and the GLR will be very useful for future growth. But maybe you could build a new airport away from Downtown, as those planes must have a hard time getting in to land. Still, I really like it!

The Story of Mount Rose and Mount Grace, California
JoystickJunkie replied to Jillybean86's topic in SC4 City Journals
Wow what an amazing CJ. I just finished reading every update and it has blown me away. The feud seems funny and realistic at the same time, and the whole gas station on one side, car retailer on the other seems like something that has actually happened. -
I need some really good housing commission flats for my ghetto, but most are growable. Are there any good ploppable housing flats out there? I've searched under the STEX and gotten quite a few. Thanks, JoystickJunkie

I really enjoy this CJ, love the historical story and the fact it's modeled off Phoneix, Arizona. This CJ made me go read up about the city and I loved the last update.

Bridges over highways, roads and railroads

Here is a tutorial about how to make one- https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=146&threadid=103223&enterthread=y -
I Like the feel of the story, and I'm guessing Algoquin City has drawn some inspiration from GTA IV's Liberty City? I hope you are able to capture the grimy, derelict feel of such a place. Great start you have here!

Love alot of stuff about this CJ. The suburbs look great, and the night shots look really good too. However the Night Shots are very very dark, and its kinda hard to make out anything. Still I love what you have going on here. -
Love the whole ghetto, down-trodden look. I'm trying to achieve such a look in my city but you pull it off very naturally. Great job!

OMG! Wow that is a great region view. Love how its started off so far, keep up the great work here!

Looks great and very true to life. I loved your New York CJ, but I agree that Chicago would be much easier to recreate.
-
No I really like this CJ. Don't stop now man! This is a great adventure and a really good story.

This looks interesting to say the least. I love the look of your atoll, and it feels very natural and the back story adds a to a great start.

This sounds good. I too make up my own stories for each city in my regions and its fun to see how it plays out over time! It sound like you have alot of fun with Simcity and I guess that fun will carry over into your CJ. I look forward to pics and will be watching intently...
