Hi everyone and thank you for visiting my CJ.
Disclaimer: This is my first ever journal, and I am fairly new to it. Also my SC4 skills are far from superior so forgive me for any mistakes or stupid things I may do. I also want to apologize for the quality of a couple of the images....I will have this fixed for future updates.
Now that that is out of the way, here is what I am hoping to do with this journal. I want this to be a user interactive journal. Throw me some suggestions, requests, and comments. If I can, and know how, I will try to work it in. I am looking at this as a learning experience, as well as something fun to do in my spare time.
I would like this to be as fun for you to read this, as it is for me to make it, so if there is anything I can do to make this a good experience just ask .
I want everyone to know I use alot of mods and bats from many different creators. I do use a couple that would be concidered as cheats for money purposes, but then again I'm not concerned about money, I just want to build a nice town and have some fun while I do it. If I make a bat or mod in the spotlight, I'll be sure to give a definite thank you at the end of each update, otherwise I'd like to give credit to everyone that made any of the bats that may be used in my CJ.
And now without furthur adeiu.............I bring you..........
It all started one day when Kevin got a phone call from some big shot lawyer in New York. It seems that a long lost uncle that he hadn't seen in many, many years had passed away and left Kevin with his small fortune, large parcel of land on a sparcely developed oceanic island, and a couple bushels of broccoli seeds.
Kevin had been getting pretty sick of the city life, so he decided that he'd go out there to his new property and start a new life farming.
He quickly made arrangements to quit his job and sell of almost everything that he owned and he boarded his new private jet to his new home. He was jolted awake sometime later that afternoon to the pilot announcing on the overhead that they were flying over his property now. Looking out the window of his plane this is the sight that greeted him back.
Unfortunately there wasn't a landing strip on the island, so he had to land on the next island over and take a boat to what he named Fathom Bay, because of the extreme depth of the water in his bay.
He and the handfull of workers he hired to come along with hime made short work of getting a basic roadway set up. Being the wise businessman he was, and environmentally concious, he decided to try the new solar power generators to power his farm.
Within a couple weeks they had some more roads layed, and two fields plowed and ready to go. Kevin ran into his first problem......He only had enough broccoli seeds for one field. He sent his boat to the mainland and would have enough seeds to plant the other field as soon as he got back.
It wasn't long before the workers started to get bored of spending their whole day in the fields, so they took it upon themselves to clear and landscape a nice park for them to have lunches and spend their offtime in.
The worker sent for the seeds finally returns and we now have 2 full fields of broccoli...Good thing there is plenty of wildlife around the woods here...
With the rapid growth of his farm, Kevin decided that he needed more workers. With the workers he currently had, and the small size of the buildings on his land, he knew he'd need to make more living area. He zoned off a small section to the east of his farms for the workers to have a small neighborhood and some shops for the basic necessities.
Kevin imported a few dozen modular homes for the occasion, and with that ready the workers quickly started moving in.
The workers had themselves a nice little neighborhood.
With a couple shops, a gas station, and a smiley water tower.
With Christmas approaching, one of the workers kids climbed the water tower and decorated it for the holidays. Kevin felt this was amusing, but made sure the parents promised to make the kid clean it after the holiday.
That brings an end to Year 0...Kevin's farm is coming along nicely. We now have 223 residents on the island. Here is a look at the overview for the end of the year.
I'll try my best to update again tomorrow evening, let me know what you think. Comments, critisisms (Be Gentle), suggestions, and requests are very welcome.
