No wonder you don't want to listen.quote> First of all, nazaguy mentioned something about civ going away. Second, I lived in Florida until last summer. Don't give me the "violent weather" bs. EVERY year they predict doomsday; yet nothing has happened since hurricane katrina. What makes you say that anybody could predict what is going to happen in 50 years? Third, drought happens and currents change. O yea, im in such denial. *GASP* things change!

Thus we need to preserve the status quo—which is what the society and economy barely can support.quote> How is that political? That is proof that the earth was warm enough to support vineyards in northern England and the fact that that was a time of wealth and discovery. So, what you are saying is that people wouldn't be able to survive if the earth is getting warmer? The warming period is a great time in history. Hate to burst your bubble, but people are not ok with the "status quo."quote> Manhattan underwater would make me a bit 'uncomfortable'. Global Warming can be over-blown, as i think even if it happens, humanity will survive. But life without civilisation doesn't really appeal to me.quote>That is the problem with this whole thing. 3. The post XVth century "Little Ice Age" is well-known, it's the one that forced vikings to leave Greeland.quote> Ok??? They are "legit" just because the author says so, no?quote> http://www.willisms.com/archives/2007/10/index.html (go down one entry) http://mclean.ch/climate/Eye_opening.htm I watched that thing last year on youtube, it's basically a big load of "scientific" blabber to avoid talking about the facts. Like the scientists there, we're paid by chemical industry, but unlike them, our employers want to solve their pollution leaks and problems. Yes, environmentally friendly (or wannabe env-friendly) chemical industry exists.quote> Avoid talking about the facts? Did you even watch the whole thing? Did you expect it to agree with "global warming" or something? Them getting paid by chemical industry? So one cannot simply disagree with the global warming theory.

  5. I have been kinda lurking around this form for a little bit and I am gonna add my points. Im not sure if these topics have been discussed. 1) How do you explain the "medieval warm period" and the fact that there used to be vineyards in Northern England. The temps must have been warmer in the past 2) Al Gore is right to say that temp and co2 are related, but the truth is that temperature rise occurs before the co2 rise. Here is a site of someone getting legit graphs and putting them side by side. http://ceblog.marflitt.com/?p=14 (sorry, I don't know how to put links in) 3) I have just watched "The Great Global Warming Swindle" and I think that all should watch it too. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fo4R7yXz-90 even if you don't agree, you should still should listen to what the "other side" is thinking. 4) It is all political. Just watch the movie and it will teach you how it got started.
