After installing SimCity 3000 Unlimited, go to your
"C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 3000 Unlimited\Apps\ScenarioCreator"
directory and you will see the following four files:
"SimCity Scenario Creator 2000.bmp"
"SimCity Scenario Creator 2000.mde"
"SimCity Scenario Creator 97.bmp"
"SimCity Scenario Creator 97.mde"
If you have previously installed Microsoft Access 2000, the files
"SimCity Scenario Creator 97.bmp"
"SimCity Scenario Creator 97.mde"
are not needed, they are only used if you have previously installed Microsoft Access 97, or have NEVER installed ANY version of Microsoft Access.
If you have never installed Microsoft Access, the SimCity 3000 Unlimited installer will install a "runtime" version of Microsoft Access 97 for use with the Scenario Creator. In this case (as well as if you have PREVIOUSLY installed Microsoft Access 97), the files
"SimCity Scenario Creator 2000.bmp"
"SimCity Scenario Creator 2000.mde"
are not needed as they are only used if you have Microsoft Access 2000 installed.
Either set of these files total up to about 24 megs of disk space which you can free up for use with other nice things like cities, landmarks, and scenarios.
