Living with hills (SC3)

Sims love living on hills. But if you have a real hilly landform, it can be really tricky putting your zones where you love them. I have some opinions on how to live with hills:

1. Your sims just love the developed hill, so zone high density. If a large, rich city is what you want, than bust out the dense zoning.
2. The road system doesn't have to fit perfectly with your grid. It can take a couple bends, but don't go crazy. Take the easiest way without destroying too much land. I've found it a bit more difficult to place rail tracks along with roads on them. If your hill is largely smooth, it's simple, but refrain from using them on craggy ones.
3. On the slopes of hills (you know, the useless part) zone the highest level of trees. This gives good effect in all types of zoning. This tactic also reduces pollution in industrial areas, and raises land value around residential and commercial zones.

If you can develop your hills properly, you'll find that your city will become richer and may give you some bonus towers.
