Landfills: a warning in SimCity 3000

    Contributor/author(s): Bernard

WARNING: Early on in the game, do not place a landfill next to any other buildings or zones. If you do, to decommission the landfill (stop using it so it can decompose in 10 years), you will need to destroy not only all roads near it, but also all buildings and zones. This is because buildings create trash, and don't need a road if it is already right next to the landfill. The landfill will continue to pollute and lower land values, and you will not be able to raise or lower the land or build on it as long as it is there.
