Can't get your land value above medium, huh? Getting so frustrated, you just want to start your city over? Well there are several stratagies to raise land value. One is trees, as before mentioned in another article here in the "Knowledge Neighborhood" entitled: "How to improve land value/pollution w/ trees". I have found that pretty effective, but do you really want that much wasted space with so little YIMBY effect? (YIMBY is an acronym for Yes In My Back Yard. NIMBY would be: Not In My Back Yard.)
What I have found out, is if you have houses near the water, then place some marinas. It has a radius of 15 tiles with a YIMBY effect of 2. Plus, you don't waste any space. But for land too far from the water, then parks, zoos, and ballparks are the next best thing. They can drastically raise land value. Hospitals, schools, and libraries can do the trick to. Try it. I have a city in the City Center called Bluffington. Download it, and check it out.
