Have you ever wanted to have double bridges in your city? In other words, two bridges right next to each other, forming a sort of "super bridge"? Well, now you can, by using a small trick:
- Build an ordinary bridge across a body of water.
- Destroy that bridge, but do not demolish anything or level any terrain. This will leave a leftover bridge ramp and roads leading up to the shore.
- Build another bridge one tile away and parallel from the previous bridge span.
- You should now have one leftover bridge ramp and road, a blank space, and then a real bridge. The last step is to build yet another bridge into that blank space, in between the leftover bridge ramp and the new bridge. It should let you build in that middle space.
You should now have a complete boulevard with a two-road bridge, whereas before your boulevard would have been restricted to one road across water. Note that during experimentation, the simulation would not always allow the last bridge to be built; it may take a few tries and might depend on your shoreline and bridge span. That is, you mileage may vary.
Play with this trick long enough, and you could probably make triple or quadruple bridges, if not continue the process forever. You can also do with the train bridges.
