Getting colored cursors in Windows in SimCity 3000

You can get colored cursors in the Windows version of SimCity 3000 just like the Macintosh version. It's quite easy. Read on...

Here are the steps:

1. Right-click your SimCity 3000 shortcut.
2. Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
3. Append -cursor:bmp to the Target field.
   It should look something like this:
   "C:\...\sc3.EXE" -cursor:bmp

That's it! Your Windows version will have colored cursors just like the Mac!

Note: the availability of the colored cursors may depend on your video card. In addition, running the game in a window may cause some strange effects when you're waiting to load a city (cursor freezes for a moment) or if you move the mouse outside of the SimCity 3000 window. If you encounter problems that make the game unusable, simple remove the -cursor:bmp parameter from the shortcut.
