Paranor Becomes a Republic

Across the nation this week, anti-monarch protests have increased to a number never before seen. An estimated 2 million people came to the streets of Paranor's cities and towns over the course of the past 6 days, including the thousands seen here at the newly opened Government Building in the rebuilt Leah political district.

Recent events such as the US Presidential Election are said to be major factors in the rise in the number of people supporting Republican groups. As vicious riots broke out between protesters and the police and army, many foreign media reported that Kind Donaill may be planning a large scale fight back. However, in a surprise press conference held by the King, domestic as well as foreign media outlets were in for a big surprise.

From the Old Parliament Building in Illian, King Donaill announced the end of almost a thousand yeards of the Kingdom and an immediate move towards democracy.
