Fitchburg                       
Population: 25260        

Fitchburg is a city in Dane County.

Trivia:

Fitchburg was a town until its incorporation as a city on April 26, 1983. Dutch immigrant brothers Vroman are claimed to be the first permanent settlers of Greenfield, then changed to Fitchburg to avoid confusion with Greenfield, Milwaukee county.

Fox Lake is a city in Dodge County.


Trivia:

Fox Lake Correctional Institution is located in Fox Lake and is a medium security facility for adult offenders. It is a state prison operated by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Friendship                        
Population: 725     

Friendship is a village in Adams County.


Trivia:

The Friendship Mound sits just to the north of town. It is a castillated mound formed from the last glaciers to cover the area during the Ice Age. Another mound, Roche-A-Cri, is a few miles north of the village in Roche-A-Cri State Park. That mound contains the Roche-A-Cri Petroglyphs.

Gratiot                               
Population: 236    

Gratiot is a village in Lafayette County.

Trivia:

The Cheese Country Trail passes through the village.

Cranberries

Cranberries are grown on 21,000 acres across 20 counties in Wisconsin. The sand and peat marshes in central and northern Wisconsin create the perfect growing conditions for cranberries. During the early 1890s, the center of the Wisconsin cranberry industry shifted to the Cranmoor area, just west of Wisconsin Rapids.
