Eleva
Population: 670

Eleva is a village in Trempealeau County.

Trivia:

The village was originally named "New Chicago". The grain elevator had the letters "ELEVA" painted on it before winter struck. Newcomers assumed the letters were the name of the village. The village was founded in 1880. A post office called Eleva has been in operation since 1885.

Ellsworth
Population: 3284

Ellsworth is a village in and the county seat of Pierce County.

Trivia:

Ellsworth is known as the cheese curd capital of Wisconsin, due to the cheese curds produced by its namesake creamery. The last weekend in June is reserved for a town festival which celebrates the cheese curd.

Elmwood  
Population: 707

Elmwood is a village in Pierce County, along the Eau Galle River.

Elmwood hosts an annual "UFO Days" festival on the final weekend of July. Events are held downtown, at the Elmwood Area School athletic
fields, and at the Elmwood Rod and Gun Club. Typical events include a parade, a softball tournament, a fun run, a medallion hunt, and live
music. The local interest in UFOs is a result of unexplainable things that have happened around Elmwood. A federal government UFO Working
Group investigated Elmwood sightings of unexplained phenomena.

Fairchild is a village in Eau Claire County.

Fountain City  
Population: 859

Fountain City is a small city bordering the Mississippi River in Buffalo County.

Trivia:

Fountain City was originally called Holmes' Landing, after Thomas Holmes, who settled there in 1839. Boats would stop at the landing to
take on firewood, as well as water from springs not far from the river, leading to the name of Fountain City.
