Park Falls

Park Falls is a city in Price County.
Trivia:
The city began in the late 19th century as a small river village called Muskellunge Falls. It was later renamed Park Falls for the
scenic beauty surrounding the former falls on the south side of town. With a pulp and paper mill, the town grew rapidly and was
incorporated as a city in 1912.
Pembine
Population: 1036
Pembine is a town in Marinette County.
Trivia:
Several fatal rail disasters occurred in Pembine. In 1899, two railroad workers were killed in a collision between two trains. A
head-on collision between two trains in 1902 killed three men. The Soo Line was sabotaged in 1909, killing an engineer. Five people
were killed when a train hit a fallen tree in 1913 and derailed. The historic train station, built in 1887, was totally destroyed by
fire on June 17, 2019. Two local teenage boys were arrested in connection with the fire.
Phelps

Phelps is a town in Vilas County.
Trivia:
Several hunting and fishing clubs are located in Phelps, including the historic Big Sand Lake Club.
Presque Isle

Presque Isle is a town in Vilas County.
Trivia:
The name is a corruption of the French language, presqu'ile meaning a peninsula.
Red Cliff

Red Cliff, also known as Miskwaabikaang, is an unincorporated community in the town of Russell, Bayfield County.
Trivia:
The Red Cliff Reservation was created through a series of treaties between the U.S. Government and the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior
Chippewa Indians (Red Cliff Band), the most recent being the treaty of 1854.
St. Germain
Population: 2026
St. Germain is a town in Vilas County.
Trivia:
Home of the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and Museum.
