05 A satellite city next to a large city
-A satellite city next to a large city-
Many small and medium-sized cities, towns and villages are located around large cities and have established interrelationships. It is just like a satellite orbiting the planet.
The city I will introduce here is one of these satellite cities.
No other place has benefited from the metropolis as much as this city.
Originally, it was a small town full of rice fields, but now there is no trace of it.
It was the bullet train that stretched from the big city that triggered a major change in this city.
When the Shinkansen station was built in this city, high-rise residential and commercial buildings were built one after another in front of the station.
Not only bullet trains, but also first class national highways extending from major cities are essential for development.
The development of the city has also had an effect on the area around the original station.
From this station, the railroad network branched out further, and the rural station became a terminal station, supporting the traffic of the surrounding cities.
The city's demand continued to grow, and companies that saw the potential began to build factories in the city.
A new train station was built nearby, transporting workers from nearby cities.
The city has developed, but outside of the residential and industrial areas, there are still rice paddies and fields.
A train running through the countryside.
That's all.
Thank you for reading this far.
