route 18
seen here near route 18 is the oldest bridge in the area, twas once a wood and steel bridge. in the early 50's a raised concrete bridge was constructed primarily because of rapid growth in the area, and heavy tourist volume. it is also the first river crossing east of the lake, at Route 18 and Hayes Rd.
the area has a few farms, and even a pair of Valero's (blame that on the game engine)
our proud farmers don't mind the sound of cars pumping gas at 2 am. nor should you.
the bridge sure does look rather nice up close, except for a rouge tree growing on it lol.
the engineers added a sidewalk at the other end for reasons the city will never know.
well, thats the route 18 jct for ya. feel free to look around but don't take too long, we have much more to see in the Lake Sequoia area.
