Entry 3 - Blue Gill Beach (A Frontier City Community)

Frontier City has a new addition, the Blue Gill Beach Community. This district of the city is situated to the north of downtown between Blue Gill Lake and the Flyer Bypass. Blue Gill Beach is a upper-middle class lakeside community, where residents can enjoy a quite retreat from the town in a mountain-lake type atmosphere, and even fish on their own docks. While most of the community is relatively recent, some homes on the lakeside hills have been here since the founding of Frontier City.

The Community viewed from the Frontier City inlet. An illusion created by the lightening, the homes closest to their water are actually built on a hill about 20 meters above the lake.

A Closer Look at the lake. The center of the peninsula has lower value homes due to their distance from the lake shore. However, the minimum sales price of any residence within Blue Gill beach was still $350,000.

The Flyer bypass is a city funded project that created a bypass or spur highway off the main interstate, allowing residents from the northern and central sections of Frontier City to have a faster access route to the main highway.

A beach shot within the community. Very rarely does anyone go swimming. The waters are often too cold (under 50 F most of the time), and the Blue Gill Monster legend keeps locals out of the water. Still the lake is a great fishing spot, and some residents do take their boats into the lake for fun.

The middle of the night, the road is quiet, and only one house seems to still be awake. (Midnight within Blue Gill Beach.)
