Saturnia Stars Baseball
Spring and summer can only mean one thing - baseball time! Saturnia has a baseball team, the Stars, who play in the nearly 100 year old Stars Stadium The Stars will be facing the Churchill Tycoons at 1:45 PM at Stars Stadium in Saturnia.
Last season, the Stars finished in 2nd place in the division, behind longtime rival Aura Legends. The Stars went 87-75 last year. During the 2013-2014 offseason, the Stars built a better pitching staff, also adding to the lineup.
Currently, the Stars are in 3rd place in their division behind the Legends and Cambria Riversharks.
So here's Saturnia's starting lineup.
John Schwartz 2B

The team is pretty good, but not quite enough to claim the division title. Let's take a look at overall stats.

Arthur Newman is pitching today. He is well known for being on the 2003 team, which won 110 games and lost the championship.
Anyway, let's go to the game. Stars Stadium is located in downtown Saturnia, so parking is a nessecity. The smart planners down at City Hall built a garage next to the stadium.

This garage is huge, and can fit most anyone going to the game, especially with a smallish stadium like Stars Stadium, which is not nearly as large as most modern National Baseball League (NBL) Stadiums.
Public Transit is a necessity, so you can take the bus anywhere and the subway to downtown, your locale, or the airport, if you so desire.

Anyway, we have seats in the upper deck alongside the first base line. In the meantime, I got this Saturnia Stars T-shirt with one of the new team logos.* Pretty cool.

The view into dead left field is a pretty good one from here. Beaux-Arts buildings from around the time of the stadium's construction outline the area.

And now the game is underway.

The stars won today by a final score of 4-3. Here's a souvenir scorecard from today's game.
