Love the exploration with the natural resources. I understand the trains, buses (bus terminals that is), and ferries to bring in tourists. This doesn't seem like a tourist city. I may be wrong, but might be something to check into.

As far as I know, workers also come in by public transportation and roads, which is why I have everything.

Good counter-point. Perhaps if you're looking for ways to stay lean, maybe stick with one form of transit. I hear you though - I had recently done a natural resource city and the workers it requires is ridiculous! Good for you, for planning ahead. :)

Planning ahead was a must for this series. I actually did a series before this when I first got the game, and the planning was so poor that I had to leave the region and start a new series.

I was looking at removing the streetcar system since I am thinking the bus network will be able to handle the load and the street cars don't really help with anything but what is directly beside an avenue. The train station is fine, even though it does take space, the space can only really be used for a single high density building, nothing really productive.

The city as a whole seems productive and uses most of the crude oil it produces for more production of plastic or fuels. Most of the outsides of the city is complete to the best I can do without demoing sections so I may just let the oil run out where I started, move them to the fresh areas and use the old one for more production, hopefully scaling them so I get the most out of what I'm pumping.

I also cant run this city or my other city too much more without getting a great works going. Id hate to sell all this stuff, run dry THEN need it for a great works. Buying back what I sold would be a real kick in the face.
