New Amsterdam's Westerhaven District is known as the birthplace of Dutch Columbia. The current spot of Westerhaven is where the first settlers arrived on the island, that is now Batavia Island, and set up the first settlement, New Amsterdam. Today the district is one of the premiere entertainment districts in New Amsterdam and a very popular spot for tourists. Westerhaven Station is New Amsterdam's International Station with connections to Vancouver, Canada, Seattle, Cascadia and Portland, Cascadia. Because of that the area is one of the first areas tourists see traveling by train.
