As Baotou approached 100,000 people, it was gettingg crowded so some people moved next door to east Baotou.
This started as a gritty industrial town downstream of Baotou.
With a growing industrial area.
But as in the start East Boatou had it's own identity it would soon become a suburb of it neighbour.
