Grunau___part 1: I want to believe
Welcomes you in Grunau, the New City! first after pimping
No realistic city's, create Sim City's!

Grunau is the northern suburb of the Traulau metropolitan region. Here is the main east-west connection, a railway line and a Highway, identical with the E28 (European Interstate), which connects Kalliningrad and Kaunas with Memel. The southern part of Grunau is in the 2.CityTrain-Circle, it's an mixed mid density area. The northen part is an low density zone for people, who do not think about money. The town has 250.000 inhabitants.
The planning concept is an integrated town. Integrated means, no poor people, a multicentral mix of all functions, living, working, shopping, believing, recreation, short distances, priority for public transport and at main junctions - high density land-use types. Integrated means also a mix of all types of architectures, small and large, public and private buildings.

We have a lot of old houses in the inner city.

There came a man named Cobb Pralsen from Sao Paulo, Brasil, and built amazing Houses.

After him comes a lot of guys and built Brasil Houses.

The Münsterplatz with the Münster Church, the center of Lutheran Christians. In the street name is a gang of lutheran-protestant heroes gathered. Joachim of Fiore, John Wycliffe, Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon.

This is our Dependance of the Moravian Church, also known as the Bohemian Brethren or Herrnhuter Brüdergemeinde. The movement that was to become the Moravian Church was started by Jan Hus in the late 14th century. Within fifty years of Hus's death, a contingent of his followers had become independently organised as the Bohemian Brethren or Unity of the Brethren in 1457. In 1722, a small group of Bohemian Brethren who had been living as an illegal underground remnant in the Catholic Habsburg Empire in eastern Moravia for nearly 100 years arrived at the Berthelsdorf estate of Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf, a nobleman who had been brought up in the traditions of Pietism. The refugees established a new village called Herrnhut. Herrnhut grew rapidly following this transforming revival and became the centre of a major movement for Christian renewal and mission during the 18th century. The Moravian missionaries were the first large-scale Protestant missionary movement. They sent out the first missionaries when there were only 300 inhabitants in Herrnhut.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church comes also from Brasil to Memel, but original from America. Nobody who is not a member like this church. But they are on the right place, the PreFabPark, the center of communists, is in the neighboring city Kobulten.

A new religion is at home in the Wildpark. They call themselves Ashrantys. They created their religion at goa partys in the late 1990's, when they eat too much mushrooms. The most important rule is: Never stop the music! That's why you always hear trance beats from the temple. The Temple of Spore is the only place in Grunau where you can buy drugs, legally.

We have a lot of Muslim communities. Shias community pray in the Djami Mosque.

Sunni Muslims come every Friday in the Es'Salam Mosque.

Kharijites is an muslim community who, while initially supporting the authority of the final Rashidun Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib, the son-in-law and cousin of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, then later rejected his leadership. They first emerged in the late 7th century AD, concentrated in today's southern Iraq, and are distinct from Sunni Muslims and Shi'a Muslims.

This is a small mosque of our Pakistani muslims, behind the tree.

Our Jews are in the film industry. Polish peoples living in the neighborhood.

Taoist Temple. Taoist propriety and ethics emphasize the Three Jewels of the Tao: compassion, moderation, and humility, while Taoist thought generally focuses on nature, the relationship between humanity and the cosmos; health and longevity; and wu wei (action through inaction). Harmony with the Universe, or the source thereof (Tao), is the intended result of many Taoist rules and practices.

Our Thai Buddhist Temple, Chedi Sri Phet.

Chinese Buddhist Temple.

Confucianistic Temple. The core of Confucianism is humanism, the belief that human beings are teachable, improvable and perfectible through personal and communal endeavour especially including self-cultivation and self-creation.

Our Cheondoist Temple. The theology preaches that God (Haneullim, a concept taken from ancestral Korean shamanic beliefs) resides in each of us. It strives to convert our earthly society into a paradise on Earth. It attempts to transform the believers into intelligent moral beings with a high social consciousness. In this respect, it could be seen as a humanistic, socialist religion.

Hare of Inaba is a well known Japan’s myth. It is a story about a hare and Okuninushi, a god of Japan’s mythology. This hare is called “Inaba-no-shirousagi” or the white hare of Inaba. This hare lived in Oki Island but wanted to go to Cape Keta. The hare deceived sharks in the sea, saying “I want to know which clan is larger, shark or hare. You sharks lie in a row then I can count the number of your clan by hopping on you.” But this hare cried at the last moment, “You were deceived!” Angry sharks attacked this poor hare. His white fur was totally stripped. Okuninushi met the hare at Hakuto Beach and felt pity for him. He told the hare to bathe in fresh water and dry in the ears of cattail. The hare followed the advice then got back his fur. Hakuto Shrine enshrines the white hare. The shrine is on the hill where the hare dried the body. There is a pond where the hare bathed on the shrine site. The shrine has been known for marriage tie since old days. These days, stones which are called “musubi-ishi” or “tying stones” are popular among visitors. Five white stones are in a small pink bag. Visitors throw a stone toward the torii or the holy gate of the shrine. If the stone is on the gate, then your wish comes true.
