Hi. What is the quickest way to get a high EQ in the game? Is there any combonation that works better than others?

I'd love to know so I can start getting more High-Tech.

you actually can get high tech pretty easy with nothing but an elementary school. Funding education just takes monitoring, u dont want to spend too much so make sure that the number of students is near to the capacity, by local funding. once sims get over 50 or so eq u can get plenty of high tech by simply reducing pollution and/or placing parks near your industry. High tech is also happy to build anywhere with high land value so you can actually encourage them to grow in your residential areas...just have some kind of plan with their freight. I havent figured out yet what having ultra-high EQ actually does for your city. In the cities where i tried getting over 160 eq i dont see any real difference other than slightly more middle and high income residents that slightly less than compensate for the high cost of such education. Maybe you need a city with over 50k residents to see much of a change, i dunno.

The general approach is to find out which of the age brackets are most numerous in your city (check the age graph). After doing so, you need to build the educational structure(s) that caters to that age range. A newly founded city will have a predominantly young population so elementary schools are your priority. After several years, the kids start getting older and so you need to place high schools, then colleges, and so forth. 

Some people have experimented with various combinations of educational facilities and it might be worthwhile to check out their findings. Just do a forum search.

I found that as long as I have very good EQ and life expectancy it is very easy to get high tech.
