I just recently installed SC4 and I am experiencing several lock up which require me to end the program via task manager. These lock ups come at random times, zooming seems to be the big one but not the only time it locks up. After I end the program i can not relaunch the program unless i reboot my cpu. I get two windows that open up one saying gdriver window--directx, and another saying something about a hardware problem. After ending the hardware problem window via task manager it forces SC4 to run in software mode i think and all i hear are the intro scenes running. Then i cant even get the program to run except in software mode forcing me to reinstall. Any help would be much appreciated, havent found any threads addressing my particular problem My cpu is as follows 2.2 ghz p4:: Nvidia geforce mx4000 128 ddram:: 512mb ddram:: on board sound

Which version of the program do you have. Check the properties of the executable and let us know. Thanks.
