Footprints not showing up

i dont know how this happened, but i havent played sc4 for quite a while, and then i went to play it, and in mayor mode the footprints of buildings dont show up. I tried reinstalling sc4 and that didnt work, so now i dont know what to do? (sorry for no screenshot, but sc4 is uninstalled)

Yeah that happened to me, I reinstalled it and set all the graphics to high and it was fixed.

Always check the in-game graphics option.  Many of the updates and patches reset the graphics to a low or medium.  Let us know if that helps or not.  It could be something else.

no, i did what you said and reinstalled sc4, turned everything to high, 32 bit, and it still dosent work:

i have sc4 Deluxe Edition Game Specs: 32 bit, 1024x768, high everything, hardware render Comp Specs: AMD Athlon XP 1.74Ghz, Windows XP, NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC, 512 MB DDR. and i have no mods, or STEX dl's.

You have a slight dynage deficieny in your machine. No matter what the box says, 512MB is the minimum to run this game for a small tile. If you can manage it, pick up another 256MB or 512MB. I run just fine with 768MB even with 128MB taken by my integrated graphics card. I have a 2.0 MHz Athlon 2400+.

You need to set your virtual memory minimum to 1536MB with a max of 2048MB. This will give you more paging space, but the game will be slow on a big tile with only 512MB of real memory.

If you didn't get it, you need update 1 from the home site. Here is a link.

Since you have no plugins, other than the ones that come with the game, let me suggest you get the *.dat files from the various Cool Stuff pages, and download the Lot Editor and its stuff, you can at least look at the list of lots.

Until you get more experience with the game, stay away from exchange downloads, especially at the home site. When you do decide to add extensions to the game, do it one at a time and test each one.

gahhh!, it wont work, i seriously have run out of options, i dont know what else to do...

yes ive updated SC4, ive reinstalled it..(many times)

512MB DDR

8190MB Virtual Memory

NVIDIA GeForce 6200 256MB OC

17" CRT

(x2) 80GB HDD

Everything in the game is set on High, ive tried it all on low to, ive adjusted the res., detail, everything and still nothing..

I try and plop something, and it wont show  a footprint, then when i do plop it, the screen will start flickering black, (but only in game, if i minimize it, the screen is fine)
