game freezing over end over

    Hello! on my sim city 4 deluxe  game, I will be playing and then the game will freeze, come back on for a couple minutes then freeze again. This happens continuously! I can tell that it is freezing and stopping because the music keeps skipping and stopping. Please Help my game rum smoothe without any freezing!!!

    This sounds like paging trouble. Please set your virtual memory minimum to three times your RAM size or 4096MB whichever is less, and set your maximum to 4096MB. This will fix almost any paging problem.

    How big is your plugin suite? Plugins load into memory when the game starts and remain memory resident.

    A configuration listing for your machine would help if this doesn't solve your problem.

    That can also be caused by other programs running in the background.
    Try not to have anything else running that might take the CPU away from SC4.
