I have searched everywhere for the SIM CITY 4 GUIDE: VERSION 2, by thy451. I have found bits and pieces of it but I can't seem to find anywhere that it appears in whole. I'll be the first to admit that I may just be blind but I also know how to follow directions....Just point me to it and I'll be real happy!

TIA!
Doug

Welcome lurker. PM me or others if you need any help.

There are a lot of thy451 guide's in the Omnibus here . Have you checked there?

Yes I have but at the beginning of the text file version that I have she references Word and HTML versions and says that they are available at simtropolis.com. These are the ones that I am hoping to find.

Actually I was trying to find the HTML version (supposedly with pictures) for some time too. Oddly, the version I found here (in the Omnibus) is truncated/incomplete. I never found the full HTML one so I stuck with the text version.

I actually did the the entire city tutorial in that guide, the one where you can get skyscrapers in 16 years or so. It was a really instructional exercise but one of those cities was hard to lay out, especially just using the text file (the one using the LERS concept). In the end, I really disliked the LERS idea since micro-managing all the education facilities became a huge pain.

    Here you go... 49.gif

The Simcity 4 Guide : Version 2 is hosted on Gamefaqs.com . You can download it here . 1.gif It is a text version though.

Coincidently, I'm having the same problem as well. I have the text version, and it says:

    HTML / MS Doc Versions

Check out the Simtropolis site, for the HTML version with pictures. Also
this guide is in MS Doc version over there. I hope to improve upon the MS Doc
version overtime by making it more user friendly.

    www.simtropolis.com
    www.simcity-4.net

You can also find me and a whole bunch of other people who are truly experts
at the game, at the Simtropolis Site. It is the best SimCity site and also
the best, most active and friendly forum around with several thousand members
and still growing by the day.

Yet a search of the site reveals nothing - only the versions posted in omnibus & the text file is by far more useful than them. Anyone shed more light?

I had contacted thy451 a long time ago. He had told me that the HTML version could not be completed because of some personal/technical reasons. 8.gif

Also he had not attempted a Rush Hour Guide at the time. However the original guide is really great and very helpful. The analysis that he has done is simply mind-blowing!! 44.gif
