Park Problems

I just began playing Sim City after (too) long hiatus.  So I reinstalled it onto my computer and downloaded the patches.  Only problem now is that when I build a park or a garden, it comes out looking like a green patch of grass.  The same is true for the gazebo and other things.  The only things that look like they're suppose to are the softball and soccer fields.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The soultions I can think of are:

1) Set all your graphics settings to the highest they can be.

2) Download the SC4 Buildings as Props and Rush Hour Buildings as Props downloads from the Lot Editor Page of the Official SC4 website.

Note: You need to be Product Registered and Logged in to see the 2 downloads.

When you download the patches, your settings automatically get reset to the lowest visual settings...  If you click on the monitor button on the same toolbar that you can quit or exit to region, then you can reset them to the normal levels.
