I follow everything after I dl a map I put the map and the config.bmp in a new folder named after region I want named. I then open the new region from the Menu and it shows just all land with the borders as it is in the config.bmp. Then i do control alt shirt r and load the .bmp file click ok and nothing happens at all. it just stays there doing nothing. no thing comes up about rendering? any ideas?

1 way to know if the map is rendering...is if the config map contains different size cities...when it switch cities you see the current one being render...just see aa flat piece of land, but the sizes do change...might look like it's not rendering if you have say all large cities in the region

try using a mixed up the config map, with all three sizes to check...if it's switching cities...it's rendering... just may have a large region to render....rendering does take a while 20 min ussually for avg map on avg spec computer, to over an hour on very large regions

if it's not switching cities...it's not rendering... not really sure if I could help you there..be just guessing...double check you have the correct config map :jpeg ratio (AKA they match up)

You say you tried to render the .bmp file. It should be the map .jpg file. The config.bmp is the layout, the other file is the map to render.
