How are you making these beautiful cities? My cities look crummy when I make them even when I try. Whats your secret?

Read the CJs and pick up new ideas.

Also check the omnibus as its full of great advice, tutorials and tips on helping you to develop your cities.

 

Finally, check out the great BATs, mods and lots on offer on the STEX.

 

You're a member of ST, so use the resources and enjoy the game more.

After checking out the CJ's, I realized that some of them are over 80 pages!

I dont think I got enough time to look/read 80 pages worth of text/pics.

There is a lot of good stuff here at Simtropolis to make your city looks better. It's placed in the STEX (ST EXchange) and the Modding Files .
In the Omnibus you find a lot of good stuff to read and that goes for the the new members forum where I can recommend to read the Greyveil's Newbie Help Thread: Getting Up and Running .

The STEX, the Omnibus and the Modding Files can all be found in the menu on your left hand side.

and one small request.. PLEASE read the rules and the readme's.

Alot of cities us BATs and mods pretty up the cities... all the uploaded files can be foundi n the ST EXchange menu to your left <----. Don't overdo it on them in your cities though, eventually it just becomes overkill if you have too many canals, little lakes etc.
