Hello everyone. I'm completely new at this and had a question. I downloaded several custom lot files and placed them in my plugins folder under My Documents. Now either I'm just really slow or its just the fact that its the middle of the night but I have no clue where to find the custom lots so I can place them in game. I was under the assumption they would show up as new icons under my build button. Is there another place I gotta click at to place these lots?

The lots I placed into the plugin folder were:
    Underground Parking Garage
    Downtown High School
    Cash Park
    Air Purification Plant

I'm a newbie also, but so far have learned this......

you have to know IF they are a ploppable item or are they the type of lots that just grow when cetain conditions are met ie:wealth, population and the like. Also you might be downloading something that has a "dependancy" file so you might want to check that. Bout all I can say to help ya.....hope I did help and not just add to the confusion

You should find them under the relevant menus within SC4. The cash park, for example, you should find in amongst your other parks (it's the only one of your list I have myself, and that's where I find it ... though I do find that if I put that lot in a separate sub-folder it does not appear). If the lots are ploppable you should find them somewhere within all the various menus of SC4. If they are growable you just have to wait until they show up in the city you are building. Simple things like making sure you have all the dependencies listed in the readme/help files contained with most lots helps too, as does making sure that the model, desc and lot (assuming the lot is not a .dat file) are in the same folder. The cash park is simply a lot file, so that shouldn't casue you any problems that way. If this doesn't help I don't know what to suggest, but if you are still stuck feel free to drop me a PM and I'll see if we can sort this out for you face-icon-small-happy.gif
