Help downloading lots!

i put both files in the plugins folder and it's not in the menu!

You extract the download using Winzip,WinRAR etc. into your MyDocuments/SimCity4/Plugins folder OR Program Files/Maxis/SimCity4/Plugins folder and they should appear in game. If this doesn't work, the building you are trying to download must be a growable which means you have to zone some Residential, Commercial or Industrial zones and get to the required stage to make it grow OR it could be a reward which means you have to meet some requirements before you can use it in your city. If the building you downloaded comes with a ReadMe always read it as it contains useful information on how to get the building into the game. Hope this helps.  Welcome to Simtropolis!

EDIT 2: I see in your profile that you don't have Rush Hour, most downloads on this website need Rush Hour to work, otherwise they will appear as a big brown box.

WinRAR is fine to use so there is no real need in getting WinZip but it is found here if you want it:

Ok, I got 1 lot to work which is that money making center,but the other one which is the WTC towers do not work.

As I said in the second edit of my earlier post, do you have Rush Hour or Deluxe as most downloads from this website won't work without one of these I'm afraid.

ok, so when you say it doesn't work, do you mean it doesn't appear in the menu or it appears as a brown box.

If it doesn't appear in the menu, check it's in the Plugins folder and if it is the building you are trying to download must be a growable which means you have to zone some Residential, Commercial or Industrial zones and get to the required stage to make it grow OR it could be a reward which means you have to meet some requirements before you can use it in your city.

How can I find my serial number to my sim city 4 game so I can get lot editer?

The serial number should be on the back of the manual or somewhere on the box, if you have lost it the only way to retreive it is either buy another copy of the game or contact EA for a new one.

You might be interested to note that both the Lot Editor and the extra building props (needed by many lots to work), are actually available outside of the Maxis site. If you can get a serial to register and such, then fine, but you can get them elsewhere if you search hard enough.

Are the filenames you should be looking for. Google them, or something...

The .exe needs to be installed, the .dat files go into c:\program files\maxis\simcity 4\plugins\. (Unless you changed your destination folder during installation)
