Need help building a Dallas-like city!

I'm trying to build a Dallas look alike city with car based development, suburbs as far as the eye can see, etc. Any advice? Are there any 6-lane avenues, 4 lane highways, huge corporate capuses on the STEX? If, not can anyone make some? Please tell me about any other relevant buildings out there! Also, I'm having trouble getting my sims to commute long distances. I've developed north to Lovers Lane and west to 114- IH-35 split and south to Cedar Crest-Corith St. intersection and houses are starting to abandon b/c of commute time. Thanx.

Hmmm... 6-lane ground highways could be used as your 6-lane avenues, and the Rural Highway Mod (search for it in the for it in the forums).  Large modern buildings are all over, so if you can't find Dallas-specific, use stand-ins that are close enough... City-journaling ppl use them all the time when they're re-creating a city.

Search for commute problems and such in the forums... you'll find something right away, 'cause SO MANY threads were created on that subject... seems to be the #1 problem with Simcity...
