Oh by all means. Pardon *deleted* us idiots who are trying to find the valued information that has been researched over many man-hours invested by the fine users of this BBS and to learn and understand Simcity 4 and RH. The very nerve of dimwits like us!

I find this to be  a persistant whine by the moderators of this BBS and frankly it is, if not just immature and oblivious to the use of the BBS, just plain rude. Just because the BBS can't or choses not to maintain storage for this kind of investigative information and illustration amazes me. Yet it is FULL of lame signatures that go on forever and miscellaneous chit chat that is lame or irrelevant. But extremely solid, investigative info of course gets flushed too.

 

Perhaps the BBS should, since they certainly can't hold all data forever, try to gather certain tutorial and under the hood information into special reference sections that are maintained permanently.  I realize that, given this late date, most of the exciting history of SC4 and the RH release has already lapsed from the archive, that this would not be an easy nor complete process. At least it might be considered for the future.. for example to assure that no MOD or BAT that has a rating above X would be kept, and that tutorials, under the hood and modeling research,  etc could also be maintained. I'd guess this to be about 3% of the BBS content (based on the guesstimate of someone who has read a LOT of this bbs's threads and is constantly reading more as time goes on).

[edit] btw your  info on why the image is missing is not the rude part, but the insinuation..  no, blatant charge.. that somehow because someone has interest in old threads they somehow violate the sanctity of the BBS.

 

Perhaps if your precious disk space is so stressed, you should drop the thread when you kill the images. In many respects, especially in illustrative threads, you've denuded the thread anyways. This would stop us impertinant jerks from intruding into your world.

 

 Oh and don't bother to thank me for digging up an old thread. The information presented in this thread is just as relevant today as it was the day it was posted.

I don't see your point... people are free to look, but why is it neccesary to reply? Especially with a post like yours... why revive an old thread just to use it for a rant?
