Supports After Roads

    i am very new to the game sim city 4 what i need to know is after how many tiles RCI Zones grow

    here i draw a little grid system R mean road after that road if plot a resdential zone it grow after 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 tile away from the road i hope u know what i am saying before a no connection message. Same for Commercial and Industrial. Zone 12.gif

    A lot needs to be directly next to a road or means of transport.  This is new in Sim City 4, as opposed to 3000 and 3000 Unlimited, which didn't have this restriction.

    well by default, the industrial zones somewhat imitate the sc3000 zoning, meaning you can zone up to five tiles from a road for development to occur. however, it is not always so and you'll have to make another road connection. u can force a size of an industrial lot and face it to a road by holding ctrl, click, dragging and letting go

    residential and commercial have a logical placement having to do w/ roads. there will be arrows and rectangles showing the placement and direction new development will occur. the arrows must be facing and touching a type of surface street. if u use only the in-game buildings, the default limit to how far u can go in is like 3-4.
